Javier Duarte was the coach of famous players like Alberto Berasategui and Alex Corretja, who both made it under the top 10 in the world. His next mission is called Christian Garin. The 19-year-old Chilean, who is currently ranked on 291st position, wants to follow in the footsteps of his famous compatriots Marcelo Rios and Fernando Gonzalez, becoming one of the best in the business.
Duarte, who captured as captain with Spain the nation’s first ever Davis Cup title in 2000, has separated ways with fellow Spaniard Pablo Carreno-Busta and signed an exlclusive contract with the 2013 Roland Garros Junior’s Champion for next year.

Garin has changed his coaches a lot in recent years. Perez-Roldan, Gonzalez, Junquiera, Aguilar were among the names. So the question will be, if it works this time. “We think that Javier is the best option for Christian,” told Joan Suasi, manager of the teenager from Santiago. “We hope that he can make the final step. Therefore, we are looking forward to our new partnership. We are moving to Spain in order to practice with a lot of enthusiasm in Barcelona,” he added.
Carreno-Busta, the youngest Spaniard within the top 100, will become a new player at the JC Ferrero Equelite Tennis Academy in Valencia. Samuel López, who led Nicolas Almagro into the top 10, will be the 24-year-old Spaniard’s new coach. “Samuel has already demonstrated being a coach at highest level,” Carreno-Busta told about his new partnership. López will be supported by Cesar Fábregas. Almagro will be coached by Argentine Mariano Monachesi in 2016.
More Spaniards are looking for a new coach for the upcoming season. Tommy Robredo has parted ways with Karim Perona. Fernando Vicente, who had a successful partnership with Marcel Granollers, does not want to travel so many weeks anymore and rejected offers. Fernando Verdasco is also looking for an additional coach to support the work of Sergi Pérez.
