M15 Paguera ESP – Pedro Cachin claims another trophy on clay
Pedro Cachin triumphed at the Tennis Academy Mallorca Open, held at Tennis Center Paguera.
The 24-year-old Argentine battled through the top half of the draw, benefiting from the retirement of Spanish No. 5 seed Ricardo Ojeda Lara in the semi-finals at the score of 7-6, 4-1.
No. 2 seed Mathieu Perchicot of France edged out Pedro Vives Marcos from Spain in the stage of the final four in straight sets.
No. 3 seeded Cachin did not drop a service game and capitalized on three of his four break-point opportunities in the title match to secure a 6-4, 6-2 victory after one hour and 18 minutes. The former No. 8 in the ITF Junior Rankings lifted his seventh singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour in addition to his ATP-Challenger title in Seville 2015. The Bell Ville-born won all his titles on clay court.
“It was my third time at this club here and it was another nice week. However, I hope to play at a higher level in the future,” Cachin said.
M25 Glasgow GBR – Lucas Poullain prevails in Scotland
The GB Pro Series Glasgow, hosted by Scotstoun Tennis Centre, concluded with the victory of Lucas Poullain.
The 24-year-old French took the last step to the final by beating Dutch No. 4 seed Jesper de Jong in two sets.
No. 2 seeded Jack Draper, who reached his career high in ITF Juniors at World No. 7, emerged victorious from the all-British semi-final clash against the tournament’s No. 3 Evan Hoyt in straight sets.
Unseeded Poullain made one point less in the title match than his 18-year-old opponent, but secured a 0-6, 7-5, 6-3 win after one hour and 54 minutes. Following his maiden title in Sintra last season, he lifted his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M25 Aktobe KAZ – Yuta Shimizu captures his second title of the season
Left-handed Yuta Shimizu triumphed at the M25 Aktobe tournament, held at Tennis Center ACE.
The 20-year-old Japanese, who was ranked World No. 5 as a junior, battled through the bottom half of the draw, defeating Vladyslav Manafov from the Ukraine in two sets.
The former No. 6 in the ITF Juniors Ranking Otto Virtanen from Finland, who entered the tournament as a qualifier, cruised past Savriyan Danilov in the semi-finals in straight sets.
No. 3 seeded Shimizu withstood 17 aces from his 18-year-old rival in the championship match to prevail 6-4, 5-7, 6-3 after about two hours. The Konan native celebrated his eighth singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, his second in 2020.
M25 Punta del Este URU – Santiago Fa Rodriguez Taverna triumphs in all-Argentinean affair
Santiago Fa Rodriguez Taverna got victorious at the M25 Punta del Este tournament.
In an all-Argentinean semi-final, the Buenos Aires-born benefited from the retirement of top seeded Francisco Cerundolo in the first set.
Wildcard entry Franco Agamenone advanced to the final with a straight-set win against qualifier Mariano Navone.
Unseeded Rodriguez Taverna lost three service games in the title match but capitalized on six of his 12 break-point opportunities to secure a 6-4, 6-3 win after one hour and 40 minutes. The 20-year-old lifted his third career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Cancun MEX – Gage Brymer adds another Cancun title
Following his maiden title at the same place last season, Gage Brymer captured the trophy of the M15 Cancun tournament, hosted at Cancun Tennis Academy, to celebrate his second career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
The US-American top seed, who lives in California, made the last step to the final with a straight-set win versus Igor Marcondes from Brazil.
The tournament’s No. 3 Gabriel Petit from France stopped the run of Slovenian qualifier Matic Spec in the semi-finals in three sets.
Twenty-five-year-old Brymer lost one service game in the championship match and converted all of his four break-point chances to get the victory after 86 minutes by the score of 6-1, 6-4.
M15 Antalya TUR – Jonas Forejtek earns his second Pro-Circuit title
Jonas Forejtek is the champion of the Club Megasaray Cup Series 3, held at Club Megasaray in Belek.
The 18-year-old Czech, who clinched the trophy at the US Open Junior Championships and was ranked World No. 1 as a junior last season, battled past French No. 2 seed Jules Okala in the stage of the final four in two clear sets.
No. 3 seeded Spaniard Nikolas Sanchez Izquierdo, who took the title in Palmanova last week, knocked off the tournament’s top favourite and former No. 8 in the ITF Juniors Ranking Maxime Hamou from France in the semi-finals in straight sets.
Winning 74 per cent of his first-service points in the title match, No. 7 seeded Forejtek sealed a 6-4, 6-3 victory after one hour and 38 minutes. The Pilsen native, who is based at the Alexander Waske Tennis-University in Offenbach, lifted his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Heraklion GRE – Alexis Musialek ends title drought
The M15 Heraklion tournament, hosted at Lyttos Beach Tennis Academy, concluded with the championship of Alexis Musialek.
The unseeded French benefited from the retirement of last week’s Heraklion-champion Clement Geens from Belgium in the first set of the semi-final encounter. Twenty-three-year-old Geens was ranked World No. 8 as a junior.
Omar Giacalone got victorious from the semi-final battle of the Italian qualifiers, beating Antonio Massara in straight sets.
Lasting two hours and 11 minutes, 31-year-old Musialek outpointed his opponent in the championship match 75-60 to prevail 7-6, 6-1. The Anglet resident celebrated his 10th singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour following his last triumph in 2017.
M15 Monastir TUN – Thomas Laurent dominates in Turkey
Thomas Laurent emerged victorious at the Magic Tours tournament, held at Magic Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir, without losing a set the entire week.
The 22-year-old French stopped the run of wildcard entry Pak Long Yeung from Hong Kong in the semi-finals in two sets.
No. 7 seed Quentin Folliot won the all-French semi-final clash against Benjamin Pietri in straight sets.
Montpellier-born Laurent capitalized on five of his six break-point opportunities in the title match without dropping a service game to claim a 6-1, 6-0 win in 58 minutes. The No. 2 seed lifted his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Sharm El Sheikh EGY – Top seed Pablo Vivero Gonzalez prevails
Pablo Vivero Gonzalez clinched the trophy of the M15 Sharm El Sheikh tournament held at Soho Square.
The Spanish top seed rallied past No 8 seeded Oleksii Krutykh from the Ukraine in the stage of the last four in three sets.
Czech Robin Stanek made the last step to the final with a straight-set win against No. 2 seeded Jacopo Berrettini from Italy.
Twenty-four-year-old Vivero Gonzalez benefited in the championship match from the retirement of his left-handed rival after winning the first set 6-3. The Madrid native celebrated his 12th career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
