Eight qualifier made it into the main draw of the Raiffeisen US-$ 10,000 ITF Women’s Future in Ortisei on Monday.

18-year-old Swiss Chiara Grimm knocked out her compatriot and top-seed of the qualifying Lisa Sabino, winning 6-4, 7-6. Grimm will take on Italian Bianca Turati in the first round of the main draw.

With Agnese Zuchini, Angelica Moratelli, Anna Turco and Lucia Bronzetti, four more locals prevailed. They are joined by three Germans: Caroline Werner, Julia Thiem and Jil Nora Engelmann.
