Three of the top four seeds made it into the semi-finals at the US-$ 10,000 Raiffeisen ITF Future in Ortisei.
The tournament’s number two Xenia Knoll from Switzerland defeated German Anna Klasen 6-4, 6-4 in one hour and 42 minutes to face third seed Giorgia Brescia next. The 19-year-old emerged victorious from the all-Italian-affair with Martina Di Giuseppe, winning 6-4, 6-3 in one hour and 20 minutes.
Fourth seed Kathinka von Deichmann from Liechtenstein beat Italian wild card 6-3, 7-6 to set a semi-finals clash with Adrijana Lekaj. The 20-year-old Croat, who knocked off top seed Rebecca Sramkova in the second round, overcame German qualfier Julia Thiem 6-7, 6-4, 6-4 in two hours and 22 minutes.
Deborah Chiesa and Adrijana Lekaj clinched the doubles title on Friday, winning the final 6-1, 6-3 against Swiss team of Chiara Grimm and Nina Stadler.
