Marcora: “Congratulations to MEF Tennis Events!”
“The entry list is impressive,” World No. 158 Roberto Marcora from Italy commented. “It looks like an ATP Tour tournament, but from a certain point of view I expected it. There are only two tournaments taking place that week. The prize money is high. The efforts of MEF Tennis Events, which managed to make it become an ATP Challenger 100 event. will pay off. They were very good at taking advantage of the opportunity.”
The tournament will feature a 32-man-draw including three wild card entries and four qualifiers. The singles champion will earn €12,250 in prize money as well as 100 ATP Ranking points. Sixteen doubles teams will be in action. The winners will split €5,250 in prize money.
Back to Umbria
Following two tournaments held in L’Aquila, the event returns to Umbria this year. Stefano Galvani of Italy won the inaugural event in 2007. This year’s top seed Delbonis lifted the trophy at the last edition in Todi in 2017. Both Carlos Berlocq of Argentina and Aljaz Bedene from Slovenia captured two titles.
