VIENNA, September 25, 2020
Organizers of the Erste Bank Open confirmed on Friday that the 2020 edition of the ATP 500 event is taking place from October 24 to November 1 inside the Stadthalle in Vienna, Austria. Up to 1,500 spectators will have the chance to attend the matches, which will be played with electronic line-calling system in two sessions (one day and one night session from Monday to Friday).
World No. 5 Daniil Medvedev of Russia, reigning ATP Finals champion Stefanos Tsitsipas, Matteo Berrettini of Italy, NextGenATP Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime and Swiss veteran Stan Wawrinka are confirmed for the indoor tournament. Defending champion and first-time Grand Slam winner Dominic Thiem will also return to Vienna. Deadline for the entry list is on Monday.
