“It’s amazing to win here in Italy,” said Musetti, quoted by the ATP Challenger website. “I played against many Top 100 players, but the key was to build on my week in Rome. I was nervous today and I managed the pressure well. I think I played a really good match. It was not easy, but I focused on every point and single detail that makes the difference.”
Musetti has become the first player born in 2002 to win an ATP Challenger tournament. He pocketed on home soil €12,500 in prize money as well as 100 ATP Ranking points, rising to a new career-high of World No. 138 on Monday.

In a final between two unseeded the teams, the pair fought past Andrey Golubev from Kazakhstan and Italian Andrea Vavassori, rallying 3-6, 7-5, 10-3. The encounter lasted one hour and 31 minutes.
