The Orlando Open Presented by Nemours, a USTA Pro Circuit ATP Challenger 80 hard-court event, continued Wednesday at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida.

Four players from the bottom half of the draw punched their ticket into the quarterfinals, including No. 2 seed Denis Kudla, who knocked off fellow US-American Patrick Kypson 6-4, 6-4. The champion of last week’s Atlantic Tire Championships in Cary capitalized on three of his six break-point chances to advance in one hour and 35 minutes. Seventeen-year-old US-American qualifier Zachary Svajda forced Kazakhstan’s Dmitry Popko, the tournament’s No. 6 seed, to a decisive third set, but Popko prevailed 7-5, 1-6, 7-5 after three hours and four minutes. The 24-year-old Nur-Sultan resident will next play No. 4 seed Prajnesh Gunneswaran of India, who benefited from the retirement of Tung-Lin Wu of Chinese Taipei.
