Nineteen-year-old US-American Brandon Nakashima will face India’s Prajnesh Gunneswaran in Sunday’s singles final at the $52,080 Orlando Open Presented by Nemours.

Gunneswaran, the tournament’s No. 4 seed, won Saturday’s first semi-final, knocking off US-American Christopher Eubanks, 6-4, 7-6(2) in one hour and 25 minutes to reach his second consecutive ATP Challenger Tour final after accomplishing the same feat last week at the Atlantic Tire Championship in Cary, North Carolina.

Later in the day, Nakashima dispatched fellow US-American Mitchell Krueger 6-1, 6-3 in 64 minutes to advance to his first championship match on the ATP Challenger Tour. The 19-year-old from San Diego, California is the fourth different teenager to reach a Challenger final in 2020, joining Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, Lorenzo Musetti of Italy and Tomas Machac from the Czech Republic. Nakashima and Gunneswaran will meet for the first time.

Krueger also competed in the doubles final with partner Jackson Withrow, falling to the second-seeded pair of Andrey Golubev and Aleksandr Nedovyesov, both from Kazakhstan, 7-5, 6-4. The encounter lasted one hour and 14 minutes.

Play concludes Sunday at the USTA National Campus with the singles final beginning at 11 a.m. local time.
