The semi-finals of the Open Quimper Bretagne Occidentale are set, led by No. 2 seed Sebastian Korda. The 20-year-old US-American benefited from the retirement of Frenchman Enzo Couacaud, leading 4-1 in Friday’s quarterfinals. By reaching the stage of the final four at the €88,250 ATP Challenger Tour hard-court tournament in France, Korda will crack the Top 100 for the first time in his career when the new ATP Rankings will be released on Monday.
Up next in Quimper will be Benjamin Bonzi, who continued his good run of form with a third straight deciding-set win, beating Illya Marchenko of the Ukraine 6-7(7), 6-4, 6-4. The World No. 146 from France, who finished runner-up to compatriot Arthur Rinderknech at the Istanbul Indoor Challenger, took the encounter after two hours and 42 minutes.

In other action, Filip Horansky from Slovakia beat Polish qualifier Kacper Zuk 6-3, 7-5 in one hour and 12 minutes. The World No. 184 will next face #NextGenATP US-American Brandon Nakashima. The 19-year-old California native edged past French wild card entry Constant Lestienne 6-4, 7-5 in one hour and 38 minutes.
