Tennis South Africa (TSA) announced the official player line-up for the two weeks of back-to-back ATP Challenger 80 events (Potch Open) and Women’s ITF $25,000 World Tour events (Ilana Kloss International) to be hosted at the tennis complex at the North-West University in Potchefstroom.
The Potch Open official player list includes some of the stars of the Challenger circuit, led by Indian player Prajnesh Gunneswaran, Switzerland’s Marc-Andrea Huesler and Benjamin Bonzi of France, ranked 128th,148th and 164th on the ATP world rankings, respectively.
In addition to welcoming international players, the tournament’s roster includes an impressive list of promising South African players, including former world number 12 junior Kholo Montsi, Vaughn Hunter and Robbie Arends who were awarded wild cards into first week of the event.
The tournament will also provide the opportunity for up-and-coming players – Devin Badenhorst, Pierre Malan and Jamie Graham Davis to demonstrate their skills on an international level.

The Women’s ITF $25,000 World Tour events will feature a mix of international and home-grown tennis players such as South Africa’s top women’s player, Chanel Simmonds, rising star Zoe Kruger, Dutch world no.176 Lesley Kerkhove, Marina Melnikova of Russia, and Hungarian Reka-Luca Jani.
Each tournament will include singles and doubles draws for men and women. The tournaments have attracted players from over 35 nations including France, Great Britain, Italy, Serbia, Germany, Spain, Australia, Netherlands, United States, Japan, Argentina and more.
The Potch Open and the Ilana Kloss International will take place from 8-21 February in a bio-secure bubble at the North-West University tennis complex.
