M15 St. Petersburg RUS – Evgenii Tiurnev triumphs on home soil
The Grand Palace Cup by Formula TX concluded with the championship of local hero Evgenii Tiurnev. The tournament was hosted by the Formula Tennisa in Lakhta, a historical area of St. Petersburg situated on the shore of the Gulf of Finland.
Gattschina-born Tiurnev knocked off the tournament’s top favourite Jan Choinski of Great Britain in the stage of the last four in two sets.
Andrey Kuznetsov emerged victorious from an all-Russian semifinal-encounter with qualifier Alexander Vasilenko in the semi-finals in straight sets.
No. 3 seeded Tiurnev fired 24 aces in the championship match to prevail 4-6, 7-5, 7-5 after two hours and 29 minutes. The 23-year-old won his 13th career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Grenoble FRA – Lucas Poullain prevails at Rhone-Alpes
Lucas Poullain captured the title of the M15 Trophee de la Ville de Grenoble, held at the venue of the Grenoble Tennis Club.
The former college player for the Florida State University fought past junior entry Dominic Stricker from Switzerland, who clinched the trophy of the Roland Garros Junior Championships last year and was ranked junior’s World No. 3, in the semi-finals in three sets.
Elmar Ejupovic from Germany booked the spot in the final with a three-set win against French Kyrian Jacquet.
Twenty-five-year-old Poullain outpointed his opponent in the title match 78-69 to secure a 6-4, 7-6 victory after two hours and nine minutes. The Frenchman lifted his third singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Nur-Sultan KAZ – Michal Dembek earns maiden title on Pro Circuit
Michal Dembek is the champion of the Nur-Sultan ITF International Tournament 1, held at the Daulet National Tennis Centre.
The 23-year-old Pole eased past Italian No. 2 seed Francesco Forti in the stage of the final four in straight sets.
No. 6 seeded Riccardo Balzerani benefited in the all-Italian semifinal-encounter from the retirement of qualifier Giacomo Dambrosi in the first set.
Unseeded Dembek outpointed his rival in the title match 70-61 to claim a 6-3, 7-6 win after one hour and 39 minutes. The Wloclawek native, who lives in Warsaw, lifted his first singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Sharm El Sheikh EGY – Marek Gengel victorious in all-Czech affair
Marek Gengel clinched the trophy of the M15 Sharm El Sheikh tournament held at Soho Square.
The qualifier won the all-Czech semifinal-encounter against the tournament’s second favourite Jiri Lehecka in three sets.
No. 3 seeded Jan Satral from the Czech Republic battled through the top half of the draw, defeating US-American wild card entry Nicolas Moreno de Alboran in straight sets.
Rakovnik-born Gengel converted four of his six break-point opportunities without facing a break point in the championship match to prevail 6-2, 6-2 in 48 minutes. Following his two title wins at the same place in 2019, 25-year-old Gengel celebrated his third career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Antalya TUR – Agustin Velotti prevails in Belek
Agustin Velotti from Argentina emerged victorious at the Artengo Open Series 5, hosted by the Club Megasaray in Belek.
The Larroque native, who entered the tournament on position eight, stopped the run of Italian qualifier Federico Arnaboldi in the stage of the last four in two sets.
No. 7 seeded Filip Cristian Jianu from Romania, who was ranked World No. 5 as a junior, booked his spot in the final with a straight-set win versus Argentinian No. 4 seed Pedro Cachin.
Twenty-eight-year-old Velotti capitalized on four of his 10 break-point chances in the title match to seal a 6-3, 6-4 victory after one hour and 49 minutes. The former junior’s World No. 2, who clinched the French Open junior’s trophy in 2010, celebrated his 14th singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour in addition to his two title wins at ATP Challenger level.
M15 Monastir TUN – Gauthier Onclin earns another title on hard court
The Magic Hotel Tours tournament, held at Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir, concluded with the title win of Gauthier Onclin.
The 19-year-old emerged victorious from the all-Belgian semifinal-clash with his No. 6 seed Yannick Mertens in three sets.
Austrian No. 5 seed Alexander Erler, who clinched the doubles trophy alongside local hero Skander Mansouri, rallied past Tom Kocevar-Desman from Slovenia in the stage of the final four in three sets.
Unseeded Onclin outpointed his 23-year-old rival in the championship match 59-44 to secure a 6-1, 6-4 victory in 69 minutes. Following his maiden title win in Meshref 2019, the former No. 8 in ITF Junior’s ranking lifted his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
