MARBELLA, March 8, 2021
Red-hot Russian Andrey Rublev, Spaniards Roberto Bautista Agut and Pablo Carreño Busta as well as three-time Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka of Switzerland headline the official player acceptance list for the 2021 AnyTech365 Andalucia Open. The ATP 250 clay-court event will be held at the Puente Romano Beach Resort in Marbella, Spain from April 4 to 11.
The quartet will be joined by Serbian Dusan Lajovic, French veteran Richard Gasquet, #NextGenATP Norwegian Casper Ruud and local favourite Albert Ramos-Viñolas. Italian teen sensation Jannik Sinner withdrew from the tournament.
The AnyTech365 Andalucia Open will kick off the European clay swing and will be contested on a single-year licence in 2021 featuring a 28-man singles draw. One week ahead of the ATP Tour tournament, an ATP Challenger Tour event will take place at the same place. The Club de Tenis Puente Romano in Marbella opened in 1979, under the management of Swedish legend Bjorn Borg, as part of Hotel Puente Romano. It has hosted an ATP Challenger Tour event since 2018.
