MARBELLA, March 9, 2021
Organizers of the AnyTech365 Andalucia Open 2021 Challenger 80, which will be held from March 28 to April 4 at the Puente Romano Beach Resort, announced the clay-court tournament’s official entry list on Tuesday.
The field will be led by World No. 55 and 2019 champion Pablo Andújar. The Spaniard defeated Frenchman Benoit Paire in the title match two years ago. Fellow Spaniard and defending champion Pedro Martínez will also return to Marbella later this month.
World No. 95 Norbert Gombos from Slovakia, World No. 97 Roberto Carballes Baena from Spain and Austria’s World No. 98 Dennis Novak round out the tournament’s top five players.
Last year’s finalist Jaume Munar leads a strong Spanish contingent and will be joined by teen sensation Carlos Alcaraz and Carlos Taberner, who was one step away from the final in 2020 as well as Bernabé Zapata Mirallés, who will play his third consecutive edition.
The first of three wild cards has already been awarded to 17-year-old Holger Rune from Denmark.
Next stop of the ATP Challenger Tour in 🇪🇸 will be Marbella.
