Six Germans, one Czech and one Croat were in action on quarterfinals Friday at the $10,000 Kirschbaum International ITF Future event in Kaarst.

The only remaining seed in the draw Andreas Beck had no problems to advance, sealing a comfortable 6-3, 6-0 victory over German qualifier Vincent Jänsch-Müller. The tournament’s number four saved the only two break points he faced, converting four of his own to advance after 61 minutes.

Beck will take on Mats Moraing next. The 23-year-old leftie overcame Robin Kern in the all-German-affair, winning 7-6, 6-4. Moraing hit 8 aces and capitalized on three of his ten break pointchances to finish the match in one hour and 31 minutes.

Filip Veger will remain the only non-German-player in the semi-finals. The 21-year-old Croat defeated Johannes Haerteis 6-4, 6-4. Veger didn’t face a break point and won 88% of his first service points to prevail in one hour and 18 minutes.

Veger will face only 17-year-old German qualifier Daniel Altmaier next. The world number 844 continued his winning streak beating Zdenek Kolar 3-6, 6-3, 6-2. Altmaier fired 10 aces and won 83% of his first service points to reach his third semi-finals on the ITF Pro Circuit after one hour and 44 minutes. The German teenager celebrated his biggest success in September 2015, finishing runner-up at the Futures event in Santa Margherita di Pula, losing the final to Lorenzo Sonego.
