Damm, son of former World No. 40 in singles and 2006 US Open doubles champion Martin Damm senior, had the better start and took the opening set after 35 minutes. Denolly, who beat Italian Marco Bortolotti, wild card entry Roko Horvat of Croatia, Pavel Nejedly from the Czech Republic and Francesco Passaro from Italy en-route to the championship match, gained the break in the 12th game to clinch the second set.
The 23-year-old lefty broke Damm’s serve to start the final set and from then on never looked back to secure victory in one hour and 54 minutes.
On Saturday, Marco Bortolotti of Italy and Victor Vlad Cornea from Romania captured the doubles title. The top seeds edged past Croatian wild card entries Zvonimir Babic and Josip Krstanovic 3-6, 6-3, 10-5. The encounter lasted one hour and 16 minutes.
