MUNICH, April 1, 2021
Three-time BMW Open champion Philipp Kohlschreiber of Germany will return to his home tournament for the 16th time this year. This was announced by the organizers of the ATP 250 clay-court event on Thursday. The International Bavarian Championships will be held on April 26 to May 2 at the venue of the MTTC Iphitos in Munich.
Kohlschreiber lifted the trophy in 2007 (against Mikhail Youzhny), 2012 (against Marin Cilic) and 2016 (against Dominic Thiem). The 37-year-old also appeared in three more finals.
“Of course this is one of my favourite tournaments on the tour,” Kohlschreiber said and is looking forward to the 2021 edition.
