MARBELLA, April 5, 2021
#NextGenATP star Carlos Alcaraz will compete in his first ATP Tour main draw on home soil this week at the €408,800 AnyTech 365 Andalucia Open in Marbella. The wild card, who will open against a qualifier, is not the only Spaniard in action.
The top seed is his countryman, Pablo Carreno Busta, a four-time tour-level titlist. Italian Fabio Fognini, who won an ATP Masters 1000 title on clay in Monte-Carlo two years ago, is seeded second.
There will be plenty of potential trophy challengers, with clay-court stalwart Casper Ruud and Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas also competing in the ATP 250 tournament.

Evans leads the field in Cagliari
Lorenzo Musetti has made a splash on the ATP Tour over the past few weeks with impressive runs in Acapulco and Miami. Will the #NextGenATP Italian be able to maintain his good form at the €408,800 Sardegna Open in Cagliari?
The 19-year-old made his first tour-level semi-final in Sardinia last year, and he will try to make another solid run in Italy, where he will play Austrian Dennis Novak in the first round.
The top seed is Daniel Evans, who claimed his first ATP Tour trophy earlier this year. Other players to watch in Cagliari include second seed Taylor Fritz, home favourite Lorenzo Sonego and recent Doha champion Nikoloz Basilashvili.
