Nicolas Jarry continued his fine run of form this week by celebrating his fifth win a row at the Salzburg Open. The qualifier from Chile defeated Czech rising star Jiri Lehecka 7-6(6), 6-4 on Friday afternoon to reach the semi-finals of the €132,280 ATP Challenger clay-court event being held at the TC GM Sports Anif.
Jarry, who reached a career-high ranking of World No. 38 in July 2019 and is seeking his second title of the season following his triumph at Salinas, Ecuador in late April, dominated the match with his serve again. The 25-year-old struck 10 aces and won 79 per cent of his first-service points to secure victory in one hour and 49 minutes.
Up next for Jarry will be Facundo Bagnis of Argentina cruised past Damir Dzumhur from Bosnia and Herzegovina 6-1, 6-2. The No. 4 seed converted five of his six break-point opportunities to advance after only 57 minutes.

In the bottom half of the draw, Juan-Ignacio Londero knocked out No. 2 seed Pablo Cuevas from Uruguay 6-3, 6-0. The 27-year-old Argentine won 65 per cent of the total points played to succeed after 55 minutes.
Londero will next oppose compatriot and No. 3 seed Federico Coria, who edged past Blaz Rola from Slovenia 6-2, 7-6(5). The encounter lasted one hour and 56 minutes.
