Facundo Bagnis captured the title of the inaugural Salzburg Open, the first ATP Challenger Tour event held on Austrian soil since 2011. The No. 4 seed emerged victorious from the all-Argentine singles final against third favourite Federico Coria 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 on Sunday afternoon at the venue of the TC GM Sports Anif.
Bagnis, who advanced to the championship match without dropping a set, converted two of his five break-point chances and won 52 per cent of the total points played to prevail after two hours and 11 minutes.

By lifting his 14th Challenger career trophy, his first since Biella, Italy in October 2020, Bagnis €18,290 in prize money as well as 125 ATP Ranking points.
The 31-year-old from Rosario also took the doubles title in Salzburg alongside his partner Sergio Galdos from Peru. The unseeded duo defeated Robert Galloway and Alex Lawson from the United States 6-0, 6-3 in Saturday’s final in 54 minutes.
