US-American Mitchell Krueger claimed his second ATP Challenger Tour title at the $52,080 Atlantic Tire Championships. The No. 6 seed won Sunday’s singles final at Cary Tennis Park with a straight set win over eighth favourite Ramkumar Ramanathan of India, 7-6(4), 6-2.
Krueger struck six aces and won 80 per cent of his first-service points. The World No. 295 broke his opponent’s serve three times to secure victory in one hour and 50 minutes. Krueger pocketed in North Carolina $7,200 in prize money as well as 80 ATP Ranking points.

The Atlantic Tire Championships is a USTA Pro Circuit ATP Challenger 80 event. This year, the Atlantic Tire Championships is a two event summer series and will return to the Cary Tennis Park September 12 – 19.
