Rafael Nadal headlines the field in Toronto at the National Bank Open presented by Rogers, an ATP Masters 1000 event he has won five times. The 35-year-old Spaniard has lifted the trophy at the Canadian hard-court tournament in its past two editions in 2018 and 2019, and he has an opportunity to earn a record 37th Masters 1000 trophy.
But a hungry field will try to keep the legendary lefty from adding to his tally. World No. 2 Daniil Medvedev, who lost to Nadal in the 2019 final in Montreal, is the top seed. Stefanos Tsitsipas, who defeated four Top 10 opponents to reach the championship match in Toronto three years ago, is the third seed.

In the doubles draw, Nikola Mektic and Mate Pavic will try to continue their jaw-dropping season. The Tokyo gold medalists will be the heavy favourites, with longtime Colombian duo Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah the second seeds.
