M25 Frankfurt am Main GER – Eduard Esteve Lobato captures another title on clay
Eduard Esteve Lobato from Spain is the champion of the Eintracht Frankfurt Open. The first edition of the clay-court event was held at the tennis department of German football Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt. In the last years, the club already organized several ITF junior events at their venue.
Twenty-six-year-old Esteve Lobato emerged victorious from the all-Spanish semi-final encounter against No. 4 seed Oriol Roca Batalla in three sets.
Israeli No. 8 seed Yshai Oliel stopped the last German standing Lucas Gerch in the semi-finals in three sets.
In front of about 200 spectators, Barcelona resident Esteve Lobato struck six aces and won 77 per cent of his first-service points in the championship match to succeed 7-6, 6-2 in 88 minutes. The No. 5 seed celebrated his seventh title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on clay court.
Local hero Lucas Gerch, who played college tennis for the Oklahoma State University, said about the premiere of the tournament: “It was a very good organized tournament and I am happy about the way I played here. It is always special to compete in front of my good friends and such a lot of supporters.”

M15 Gdynia POL – Roman Andres Burruchaga wins maiden trophy
Roman Andres Burruchaga captured the title of the Uni-Logistics Gdynia Open, held at Klub Sportowy Arka Gdynia.
The 19-year-old Argentinian cruised past Alexis Musialek from France in the stage of the final four in straight sets.
Canadian No. 3 seed Filip Peliwo, who clinched the Grand Slam trophies at Wimbledon and at the US Open and was ranked World No. 1 as a junior in 2012, advanced to the final with a straight-set win against Hungarian No. 5 seed Fabian Marozsan.
Qualifier Burruchaga broke his 27-year-old rival in the title match nine times and lost six service games to seal a 6-7, 7-6, 6-1 victory after more than three hours. The Buenos Aires native lifted his first career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Curtea de Arges ROM – Stefan Palosi earns maiden title on home soil
The Vitality Open Tour, hosted by Tenis Club Curtea de Arges, concluded with the title win of Stefan Palosi.
The Romanian qualifier battled through the top half of the draw, beating Argentinian No. 8 seed Matias Zukas in the semi-finals in three sets.
No. 5 seeded Argentinian Facundo Juarez booked his spot in the final with a three-set win versus Portuguese No. 6 seed Tiago Cacau.
Twenty-one-year-old Palosi capitalized on five of his 12 break-point opportunities in the championship match and dropped three service games to prevail 6-4, 6-4 in 96 minutes. The Constanta native, who is coached by former tennis professional Andrej Pavel, celebrated his first singles title on the Pro Circuit.

M15 Monastir TUN – Dan Added returns to winners’ circle
Dan Added took the title of the Magic Hotel Tours tournament, held at Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir.
The 22-year-old Frenchman benefited in the semi-finals from the retirement of the Tunisian top seed Aziz Dougaz at the score of 6-2, 4-2.
Santiago Fa Rodriguez Taverna, the Argentinian No. 3 seed, eged past No. 5 seeded Japanese Sho Shimabukuro in the stage of the last four in two sets.
Strassburg-born Added won 10 points more in the title match to claim a 6-3, 6-4 win after one hour and 44 minutes. Following his three title wins in 2019, the No. 4 seed lifted his fourth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
