Daniel Altmaier and Nicolas Jarry will compete in Sunday’s singles final of the €44,820 Platzmann-Sauerland Open held on the clay courts of the LTV 1899 in Lüdenscheid, Germany. Altmaier was first up on court to complete his quarterfinal match against Spanish qualifier Javier Barranco Cosano, winning 6-4, 6-7, 7-5.
Then, the No. 4 seed from Germany edged out Argentine teenager and sixth seed Juan Manuel Cerundolo 6-2, 7-6(4). Altmaier sent down five aces and won 78 per cent of his first-service points to reach his second title match of the season after one hour and 40 minutes.

Jarry eased past German Julian Lenz 6-1, 6-4. The 25-year-old from Chile capitalized on four of his eight break-point chances to prevail after one hour and 17 minutes.
Altmaier is seeking his seeking second ATP Challenger crown following his maiden triumph on home soil at the Sparkassen Open in Braunschweig last month. Jarry will appear in his third final of the season. The World No. 262 captured his fourth ATP Challenger career trophy at the Salinas Open in Ecuador in late April. The pair will meet for the first time.
Sabanov/Sabanov take doubles title
In other action, Ivan and Matej Sabanov took the doubles title. The No. 4 seed from Croatia fought past top favourites Denys Molchanov from the Ukraine and Aleksandr Nedovyesov of Kazakhstan 6-4, 2-6, 12-10. The encounter lasted one hour and 18 minutes.
The Sabanov siblings lifted their first trophies on the ATP Tour at the Belgrade Open in Serbia and claimed their second team title at Challenger level. The duo split €2,670 in prize money and collected 80 ATP Doubles Ranking points.
