Hugo Dellien captured the title of the $52,080 Dove Men & Care Legion Sudamericana Lima.
The No. 5 seed from Bolivia won Sunday’s all-South American singles final against eighth seed Camilo Ugo Carabelli from Argentina 6-3, 7-5 at the Centro Promotor de Tenis Miraflores in Lima, Peru. On Pista Central, Dellien converted four of his seven break points to secure victory in one hour and 44 minutes.
The 28-year-old defeated Nick Hardt from the Dominican Republic, Argentines Facundo Mena and Nicolas Kicker as well as Swiss qualifier Johan Nikles en route to the championship match.
Dellien claimed his sixth ATP Challenger career title, his first since Milan, Italy two years ago. The Trinidad native earned $7,200 in prize money as well as 80 ATP Ranking points.
