HALLE/WESTFALEN, December 1, 2021

The Noventi Open becomes the Terra Wortmann Open. The organizers of Germany’s biggest grass-court tournament announced a new title sponsor. The 29th edition of the ATP 500 event will be held in Halle, Westphalia from June 11 to 19, 2022.

The Wortmann AG, based in Hüllhorst, is the largest independent computer manufacturer in Europe and has secured the naming rights with its Terra brand for the upcoming two years. Germany’s most successful hardware brand will succeed the leading healthcare provider Noventi.

“We are very happy to have found a partner who comes from the region,” said tournament director Ralf Weber. “It is a logical partnership based on the same values and from which both parties benefit.”

Home favourite Alexander Zverev will headline next year’s event, as the World No. 3 and reigning Olympic champion signed a three-year contract with the tournament earlier this season. Zverev is still seeking his first Halle crown. The 24-year-old Hamburg native finished runner-up twice, losing to Florian Mayer in 2016 and to Roger Federer the following year.

Swiss maestro Roger Federer, Japan’s Kei Nishikori as well as Russian’s Daniil Medvedev and Karen Khachanov will also be part of the line-up.
