M25 Manacor ESP – Benjamin Hassan returns to winners’ circle

The Rafa Nadal Academy World Tennis Tour by Movistar by LG concluded with the title win of Benjamin Hassan. 

The No. 3 seed cruised past his fellow German Leopold Zima in the stage of the final four in two sets. 

Alberto Barroso Campos from Spain fought past German No. 3 seed Johannes Haerteis in the semi-finals in straight sets. 

Twenty-six-year-old Hassan fired eight aces and broke his rival in the title match six times to prevail 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 after about two hours. The Koblenz native lifted his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour following his maiden title win in Doha 2018.

M25 Bath GBR – Veteran Daniel Cox triumphs on home soil

Daniel Cox clinched the trophy of the Bath $25K Pro Series, hosted by the University of Bath.

In the all-British semi-finals without any seeded players left in the singles draw, the 31-year-old benefited from the retirement of Felix Gill after winning the first nine games.

Charles Broom made the last step to the final by defeating German-born Jan Choinski, who has represented Great Britain since 2019, in straight sets.

Unseeded Cox struck seven aces in the championship match and gained one break more to secure a 6-4, 7-6 win after one hour and 49 minutes. The Lincoln native celebrated his 16th singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his ninth on home soil.

M25 Monastir TUN – Sho Shimabukuro returns to winners’ circle 

Sho Shimabukuro took the title of the Magic Hotel Tours tournament, held at Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir. 

The 27-year-old Japanese battled past last week’s Monastir-champion Skander Mansouri from Tunisia, who entered the tournament on position five, in the stage of the last four in two sets. 

No. 6 seed Clement Tabur emerged victorious from the all-French semifinal-clash against No. 2 seeded Dan Added in straight sets.

Gifu-born Shimabukuro converted seven of his 10 break-point chances in the title match and lost three service games to seal a 6-1, 4-6, 6-1 victory in about two hours. Following his maiden title win in Jakarta 2019, the No. 7 seed lifted his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Monastir TUN – Hazem Naw claims debut title

Hazem Naw emerged victorious at the Magic Tours tournament, hosted by Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir.

The 22-year-old from Syria edged out French No. 7 seed Terence Atmane in the semi-finals in two sets.

Sebastian Gima from Romania advanced to the final with a straight-set win against French No. 2 seed Valentin Vacherot. 

Unseeded Naw won seven points more in a thrilling championship match to secure a 5-7, 7-6, 7-6 win in three hours and 35 minutes. The Aleppo native, who is based at the MKG Tennis Academy of former German tennis professional Marc-Kevin Goellner in Cologne, celebrated his first singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Bagnoles de l’Orne FRA – Teenager Luca van Assche clinches maiden trophy 

The 13emes Internationaux Masculins de Bagnoles de l’Orne Normandie, held at Tennis Club Bagnolais, concluded with the title win of Luca van Assche.

In the all-French semi-finals, the 17-year-old knocked off the tournament’s top favourite Matthieu Perchicot in straight sets. 

Corentin Denolly, the No. 2 seed, took the last step to the final by defeating teenager Sascha Gueymard Wayenburg in three sets.

No. 3 seeded van Assche sent down six aces in the title match and gained five breaks to triumph 7-5, 6-3 after one hour and 46 minutes. The Woluwe St. Lampbert native, who captured the Roland Garros Juniors title and was ranked junior’s World No. 1 last season, lifted his first trophy on the Pro Circuit.

M15 Antalya TUR – Dragos Nicolae Madaras captures back-to-back titles 

Following his triumph in the final week of last season in Doha, left-handed Dragos Nicolae Madaras clinched the trophy of the Antalya Series, hosted by Club Megasaray in Belek. 

The Romania-born, who represents Sweden, eased past Spanish No. 7 seed Benjamin Winter Lopez in the semi-finals in straight sets.

Romanian qualifier Bogdan Ionut Apostol continued his great run, beating Jorge Martinez Martinez from Spain in the stage of the final four in three sets. 

In a one-sided championship match, top seeded Madaras sealed a 6-0, 6-0 victory. The 24-year-old celebrated his seventh singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Cairo EGY – Daniel Michalski wins another trophy on clay

Daniel Michalski is the champion of the Egypt Men’s Future, held at Al-Solaimaneyah Tennis Center in Cairo. 

The Polish top seed rallied down Denis Klok from Russia in the semi-finals in three sets.

Russian No. 6 seed Andrey Chepelev, the Cario-champion from last week, booked another final with a straight-set win versus No. 3 seeded Eduardo Lavagno from Italy.

Twenty-two-year-old Michalski broke his opponent’s serve five times in the title match to prevail 7-6, 6-2 after two hours and 12 minutes. The Warsaw native lifted his sixth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on clay court.
