Later in the evening, Lestienne also had to go the distance, as he edged out former Latvian Top 10 player Ernests Gulbis 6-7(4), 6-4, 6-4. The 29-year-old Amiens native struck eight aces and won 71 per cent of his first-service points to prevail after two hours and 54 minutes.

Lestienne could lift his fourth ATP Challenger career trophy. Bonzi is seeking his seventh crown, his first of the year. The pair will meet for the first time.
