Markus Eriksson captured the title of the third edition of the $10,000 ITF Future Trofeo Citta di Sondrio on Saturday. The 26-year-old Swede cruised past Marcin Gawron in the final, winning 6-3, 6-1.
Eriksson lost his service only once, converting five of his 12 own break point chances to close the match after only 58 minutes. With his fifth ITF Pro title, the world number 479 from Gothenburg earns $1,440 in prize money as well as 18 ATP ranking points.
On Friday, Eriksson also lifted the doubles trophy, winning the final alongside his Brazilian partner Wilson Leite against all-French-combination of Antoine Hong and Gregoire Jacq 6-4, 7-6 in one hour and 20 minutes.
