The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has announced the draws for the 2022 Davis Cup by Rakuten World Group I and World Group II ties.
The draws, which took place at the ITF offices this afternoon, will see 48 nations competing in 24 ties, to be played in cities around the world on either 16-17 or 17-18 September 2022. The choice of dates is determined by the host nation.
Winning nations from World Group I ties will advance to the 2023 Davis Cup Qualifiers – giving those teams a chance to compete in the 2023 Davis Cup Finals. Losing nations from World Group I ties and winning nations from World Group II ties will compete in the 2023 World Group I Play-offs; while losing nations from World Group II ties will compete in the 2023 World Group II Play-offs alongside the best-performing teams at the 2022 regional Group III events.

Note 1 – Due to the current situation in Ukraine, the ITF and Davis Cup Committee will work with the Ukrainian Tennis Federation to confirm choice of ground and a hosting location for this tie in due course
