Two-time champion Novak Djokovic leads the way at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, the season’s first clay-court ATP Masters 1000 event. The 34-year-old Serbian will have to navigate a tough field if he is to lift a record-extending 38th Masters 1000 trophy.
Looming in the quarterfinals could be red-hot Spanish teen Carlos Alcaraz, who just captured the biggest crown of his career at the Miami Open. The top half of the draw is loaded with dangerous opponents, including Miami finalist and fourth seed Casper Ruud of Norway, Indian Wells champion Taylor Fritz from the United States and seventh-seeded Briton Cameron Norrie.
The bottom half of the draw is headlined by defending champion Stefanos Tsitsipas from Greece and second seed Alexander Zverev of Germany. One year ago, Tsitsipas claimed his maiden Masters 1000 title at this event.
