M25 Skopje MNI – Laurent Lokoli clinches fifth trophy of the season 

The M25 Skopje tournament, hosted by Tennis Club Jug-Skopje, concluded with the title win of Laurent Lokoli.

The French top seed, who was born in Bastia, stopped the run of Bulgarian qualifier Petr Nesterov in the semi-finals in straight sets. 

Brazilian No. 2 seed Orlando Luz booked the spot in the final with a three-set win versus Tunisian No. 6 seed Moez Echargui.

Twenty-seven-year-old Lokoli won 76 per cent of his first-service points in the title match and gained four breaks more to triumph 6-2, 6-1 in 83 minutes. The Frenchman lifted his 14th career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his fifth in 2022.

M25 East Lansing USA- Gabriel Diallo wins debut title

Gabriel Diallo clinched the title of the M25 East Lansing tournament, which was held at MSU Tennis Center in Michigan.

The 20-year-old Canadian ended the run of US-American qualifier Jacob Bickersteth in the stage of the last four in straight sets.

Andres Martin from the United States won the semifinal-battle of the qualifiers against Japanese Shunsuke Mitsui, who was ranked ITF No. 6 as a junior, in three sets.

Unseeded Diallo converted all of his three break-point chances in the championship match to secure a 6-3, 7-6 victory in 90 minutes. The Montreal native celebrated his first singles title on the Pro Circuit.

M25 Santo Domingo DOM – Roberto Cid Subervi triumphs on home soil

Local hero Roberto Cid Subervi was crowned champion at the M25 Santo Domingo tournament, hosted by Centro Nacional de Tenis Parque del Este.

The 28-year-old from the Dominican Republic finished the run of Jamaican qualifier John Chin in the semi-finals in straight sets. 

The tournament’s top seed Dan Added from France made the last step to the final by defeating Brazilian No. 4 seed Joao Lucas Reis da Silva in three sets. 

Santo Domingo-born Cid Subervi earned four breaks more than his 23-year-old rival in the title match and outpointed him 71-50 to succeed 6-2, 6-3 after one hour and 54 minutes. The No. 3 seed, who played college tennis for the University of South Florida, lifted his eighth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M25 Chiang Rai THA – Bu Yunchaokete captures fourth title of the season 

Bu Yunchaokete from China earned the trophy of the M25 Chiang Rai tournament, held at Chiang Rai Tennis Stadium, without dropping a set the entire week.

The former junior’s World No. 5 knocked off Turkish No. 3 seed Yanki Erel in the stage of the final four in two sets.

No. 4 seed Shintaro Imai won the all-Japanese semifinal-encounter against Shinji Hazawa in straight sets.

Twenty-year-old Yunchaokete struck nine aces in the championship match and gained the only two breaks to claim a 6-3, 7-5 win after one hour and 24 minutes. The No. 7 seed celebrated his fourth singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on hard court this season.

M25 Harmon GUM – Sho Shimabukuro prevails in the Pacific Ocean

Sho Shimabukuro captured the title of the Kings Guam World Tennis Tour, held at Guam National Tennis Center.

The 24-year-old Japanese fought through the bottom half of the draw, defeating Korean No. 2 seed Jisung Nam in the semi-finals in three sets.

No. 5 seed Seong Chan Hong, who clinched the trophy in Harmon last week, battled past his No. 8 seeded fellow Korean Cheong-Eui Kim in the stage of the last four in straight sets. 

No. 3 seeded Shimabukuro sent down eight aces and won 80 per cent of his first-service points in the title match to prevail 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 in about two hours. The Gifu native lifted his third career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on hard court.

M15 Cordoba ESP – Carlos Lopez Montagud dominates on home soil

Carlos Lopez Montagud was victorious at the Torneo Internacional Cordoba Patrimonio de la Humanidad -Tressis, held at Real Aero Club de Cordoba, without losing a set during the tournament

The top seeded Spaniard stopped the run of Ukrainian qualifier Eric Vanshelboim in the semi-finals.

Alberto Barroso Campos set the all-Spanish final with a straight-set win against his No. 6 seeded countryman Imanol Lopez Morillo. 

Algemesi-born Lopez Montagud gained the only five breaks in the championship match and won 83 per cent of his first-service points to claim a 6-2, 6-1 victory in 76 minutes. The 21-year-old celebrated his third singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on clay this season.

M15 Quito ECU – Murkel Dellien prevails again in Quito 

Following his maiden championship at the same place two weeks ago, No. 2 seed Murkel Dellien clinched the trophy of the M15 Copa Quito Bicentenario – Etapa 3, hosted by Club Rancho San Francisco. 

The younger brother of fellow tennis professional Hugo Dellien made it to the final with a straight-set win against Matias Soto from Chile.

Argentinian No. 7 seed Juan Bautista Otegui cruised past No. 6 seed Ricardo Rodriguez from Venezuela in the semi-finals in two sets.

Twenty-four-year-old Dellien capitalized on three of his four break-point chances in the title match without dropping a service game to secure victory with 6-3, 6-2 after 71 minutes. The Trinidad-born, who played college tennis for the Wichita State University, lifted his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Sarajevo BIH – Bo Artnak claims maiden title

The Sarajevo Open 2022, held at GTA Tennis Academy, concluded with the title win of unseeded teenager Bo Artnak.

The Slovenian junior entry edged out Dusan Obradovic from Serbia in the stage of the final four in three sets.

Stefan Popovic from Serbia rallied past the tournament’s second seed Michael Vrbernsky from the Czech Republic in the semi-finals in three sets.

Eighteen-year-old Artnak earned the only four breaks in the championship match to succeed 6-1, 7-5 in 90 minutes. The current juniors World No. 16 celebrated his first singles title on the Pro Circuit.

M15 Frascati ITA – Jose Pereira returns to winners’ circle

Veteran Jose Pereira took the title of the Internazionali “Citta di Frascati”, hosted by New Country Club Frascati.

The 31-year-old Brazilian took the last step to the final by beating Italian No. 4 seed Stefano Napolitano in straight sets.

Italian Manuel Mazza knocked of the tournament’s top favourite Benjamin Lock from Zimbabwe in the semi-finals in three sets.

Lasting exact one hour, No. 2 seeded Pereira converted five of his six break-point opportunities in the title match and lost one service-game to secure a 6-3, 6-0 win. The Santana Do Ipanema native lifted his 12th career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his first since 2017. 

M15 Tay Ninh VIE – Nam Hoang Ly wins back-to-back titles on home soil 

Nam Hoang Ly is the champion of the Hai Dang Cup 2022, held at Hai Dang Tennis Club, without losing a set the entire week.

The 25-year-old from Vietnam edged out Australian No. 8 seed Aaron Addison in the stage of the last four in straight sets.

No. 4 seeded Czech Dominik Palan battled through the bottom half of the draw, beating US-American No. 2 seed Kyle Seelig, who played college tennis for the Ohio State University, in the semi-finals in three sets.

Ho Chi Minh-born Ly won 79 per cent of his first-service points in the championship match and gained two breaks more to triumph 7-6, 6-2 in about two hours. The top seed celebrated his seventh singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour following his title win at the same place last week.

M15 Bytom POL – Timo Stodder clinches another trophy on clay

Timo Stodder is the champion of the Bytom Cup, which was hosted by the venue of K.S. Gornik Bytom.

The 26-year-old German advanced to the final with a straight-set win versus Szymon Kielan from Poland. 

Czech top seed David Poljak fought past Ukrainian No. 3 seed Georgii Kravchenko in the semi-finals in three sets. 

No. 4 seeded Stodder, who played college tennis for the University of Tennessee, earned one break and nine points more in the title match to claim a 2-6, 6-2, 7-5 win after two hours and 21 minutes. The Berlin native lifted his third career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour following his back-to-back titles in Bad Waltersdorf last season. 

M15 Budva MNE – Christopher Heyman continues his great series

Christopher Heyman snapped the trophy of the Budva 2022, held at the venue of the Tennis Club Budva Rivijera.

The top seeded Belgian eased past Lorenzo Claverie from Italy in the stage of the final four in two sets. 

Swiss No. 2 seed Damien Wenger, who captured the title in Budva last week, booked another spot in the final with a straight-set win against No. 5 seeded Romanian Stefan Palosi. 

Eupen-born Heyman capitalized on seven of his 15 break-point chances in the championship match and dropped four service-games to prevail 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 after two hours and 39 minutes. The 28-year-old lefty celebrated his 19th singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, winning at least one tournament every season since 2015. 

M15 Monastir TUN – Aziz Dougaz captures back-to-back titles on home soil 

Following his title win at the same place last week, No. 2 seed Aziz Dougaz emerged victorious at the Magic Hotel Tours tournament, hosted by Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir.

The 25-year-old Tunisian rallied down Chinese No. 5 seed Hanwen Li in the semi-finals in three sets.

Skander Mansouri, the tournament’s top seed from Tunisia, made the last step to the final by defeating French No. 6 seed Jaimee Floyd Angele in three sets.

Left-handed Dougaz fired nine aces in the title match and won 79 per cent of his first-service points to seal a 7-6, 6-0 victory in 88 minutes. The La Marsa native lifted his eighth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his seventh on home soil.
