M15 Raanana ISR – Robert Strombachs returns to winners’ circle

Robert Strombachs claimed the trophy of the M15 Raanana tournament, hosted by Municipality Tennis Club.

The 22-year-old German rallied past Israeli No. 8 seed Sahar Simon in the stage of the final four in three sets. 

Top seeded Israeli Edan Leshem reached the final with a straight-set win versus British No. 3 seed Giles Hussey.

No. 6 seeded Strombachs won 83 per cent of his first-service points and gained the only break in the championship match to prevail 7-6, 6-4 after about two hours. The Berlin native, who represents Latvia in the Davis Cup, celebrated his third singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour following two championships in Tunisia 2018.

It was a dream week for me, winning a title after four years since my last championship. In the first rounds, I had some bad days to go for three sets, but I overcame everything and I am happy that I could bring my best level. It was my first time in Israel and everything was really beautiful”, Strombachs said. 

M25 Grasse FRA – Pol Martin Tiffon earns another title on clay 

The All in Future de Grasse by New York New York, held at All in Country Club de Grasse, concluded with the title win of Pol Martin Tiffon.

The Spanish No. 3 seed battled past Mathys Erhard from France in the semi-finals in two sets.

Italian No. 8 seed Mattia Bellucci set his final appearance with a straight-set win against No. 6 seed Yshai Oliel from Israel. 

Lasting three hours and 21 minutes, twenty-two-year-old Martin Tiffon earned one break and two points more in the title match to secure a 7-6, 6-7, 7-5 victory. The Barcelona native lifted his fourth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them clinched on clay.

M25 Wichita USA – Clement Chidekh succeeds in Kansas 

Clement Chidekh was crowned champion at the Wichita Tennis Open, hosted by Sheldon Coleman Tennis Complex at the venue of the Wichita State University.

The 21-year-old Frenchman knocked off the tournament’s top favourite Denis Yevseyev from Kazakhstan in the semi-finals in straight sets.

Canadian Liam Draxl rallied past No. 2 seed Yu Hsiou Hsu from Chinese Taipei in the stage of the final four in three sets. 

Lyon-born Chidekh broke his 20-year-old rival in the championship match six times to triumph 6-2, 6-2 after one hour and 29 minutes. The college player for the University of Washington celebrated his second singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M25 Martos – Alberto Barroso Campos wins on home soil 

Alberto Barroso Campos was victorious at the Jaen Paraiso Interior, held at Club Tenis Martos. 

The 26-year-old won the all-Spanish semifinal-clash against teenager Daniel Merida in straight sets.

Jules Marie from France fought through the top half of the draw, beating Spanish No. 3 seed Carlos Sanchez Jover in the stage of the last four in three sets. 

Unseeded Barroso Campos capitalized on four of his seven break-point chances in the title match and lost one service game to claim a 6-4, 6-2 victory in 80 minutes. The Montijo native, who played college tennis for the University of South Florida, lifted his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his second this season. 

M25 Santo Domingo DOM – Martin Damm prevails on hard court

Left-handed Martin Damm from the United States won the title of the M25 Santo Domingo tournament, hosted by Centro Nacional de Tenis Parque del Este.

The 18-year-old son of former tennis-professional Martin Damm sr. booked the spot in the final with a straight-set win versus No. 5 seed Peter Bertran from the Dominican Republic.

Top seeded Frenchman Dan Added ended the run of US-American qualifier Aidan Mayo in the semi-finals in two sets.

No. 6 seeded Damm sent down eight aces in the championship match and won 83 per cent of his first-service points to succeed 6-3, 6-3 in 87 minutes. The Bradenton native, who was ranked World No. 3 as a junior, celebrated his second singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his second on hard court.

M15 Chieti ITA – Riccardo Balzerani triumphs again on home soil

Riccardo Balzerani is the champion of the Lazzaroni Cup, hosted by the venue of Circolo Tennis Chieti.

The Italian No. 2 seed cruised past Tomas Lipovsek Puches from Slovenia in the semi-finals in two sets.

The tournament’s top favourite Andrey Chepelev advanced to the final with a straight-set win versus Italian No. 6 seed Gianmarco Ferrari.

In the title match with both players earning five breaks, Rieti-born Balzerani won six points more to seal a 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 victory in two hours and 15 minutes. The 23-year-old lifted his third career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them achieved on Italian soil.

M15 Skopje MNI – Stefan Palosi wins another title on clay

Stefan Palosi captured the trophy of the M15 Skopje tournament, held at Tennis Club Jug-Skopje.

The No. 8 seed beat his fellow Romanian Sebastian Gima in the stage of the final four in straight sets. 

Orlando Lutz, the tournament’s top favourite from Brazil, took the last step to the final by defeating No. 7 seed Bogdan Bobrov.

In the championship match with both players gaining two breaks, twenty-two-year-old Palosi won eight points less but secured a 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 win in about two hours. The Constanta native celebrated his second singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour following his maiden triumph on clay in Romania last season.

M15 Duffel BEL – Gauthier Onclin captures title on home soil 

The M15 Duffel tournament, hosted by the TC de Pollepel, concluded with the title win of former Juniors World No. 8 Gauthier Onclin.

The 21-year-old Belgian knocked off the tournament’s top seed Cezar Cretu from Romania in the semi-finals in three sets.

Qualifier Chris Rodesch from Luxembourg continued his great run, beating Australian Philip Sekulic in the stage of the last four in straight sets.

Liege-born Onclin converted four of his 12 break-point opportunities in the title match by dropping one service-game to claim a 6-4, 6-3 victory in 88 minutes. The No. 4 seed lifted his sixth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his third this season.

M15 Quito ECU – Matias Soto clinches maiden trophy

Matias Soto emerged victorious at the M15 Copa Quito Bicentenario – Etapa 4, held at Club Rancho San Francisco, to celebrate his first singles title on the Pro Circuit.

The 23-year-old from Chile fought past Venezuelan No. 3 seed Ricardo Rodriguez in the semi-finals in three sets. 

No. 4 seed Diego Fernandez Flores set the all-Chilean final with a three-set win against Kiranpal Pannu from New Zealand.

Unseeded Soto won 83 per cent of his first-service points and gained one break more in the championship match to succeed 6-3, 7-6 after one hour and 40 minutes.

M15 Tay Ninh VIE – Nam Hoang Ly wins third consecutive title on home soil

Nam Hoang Ly won another title at the Hai Dang Cup 2022, hosted by Hai Dang Tennis Club.

The 25-year-old from Vietnam benefited in the semi-finals from the retirement of Australian No. 4 seed Thomas Fancutt at the score of 6-2, 2-0.

Indian Digvijay Pratap Singh battled through the bottom half of the draw, beating Tsung Hao Huang from Chinese Taipei in the semis in straight sets.

Ho Chi Minh-born Ly gained one break and ten points more in the title match to seal a 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 victory in three hours and 28 minutes, . The top seed lifted his eighth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour following two title wins at the same place in the last two weeks.

M15 Chiang Rai THA – Shintaro Imai dominates in Thailand

Shintaro Imai took the title of the M15 Chiang Rai tournament, held at Chiang Rai Tennis Stadium, without dropping a set the entire week.

The Japanese No. 3 seed stopped the run of Thai qualifier Thantub Suksumrarn in the stage of the final four in two sets. 

No. 4 seed Bu Yunchaokete, who clinched the trophy in Chiang Rai in the last two weeks, emerged victorious from the all-Chinese semifinal-encounter against Fajing Sun.

Twenty-eight-year-old Imai fired 16 aces in the championship match and gained the only two breaks to prevail 7-5, 6-4 in 84 minutes. The Kanagawa native celebrated his 10th singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on hard court.

M15 Monastir TUN – Aziz Dougaz captures third consecutive Monastir title 

No. 2 seed Aziz Dougaz clinched another trophy at the Magic Hotel Tours tournament, hosted by Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir.

The 25-year-old Tunisian benefited in the semi-finals from the retirement of French No. 3 seed Quentin Folliot after winning the first three games.

Skander Mansouri, the tournament’s top seed from Tunisia, made the last step to the final by defeating Ze Zhang from China in straight sets.

Left-handed Dougaz won 84 per cent of his first-service points and earned the only break in the title match to claim a 7-6, 6-3 win after one hour and 37 minutes. The La Marsa native lifted his ninth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his third consecutive title in Monastir.
