M15 Kamen GER – Rudolf Molleker returns to winners’ circle 

The Kamen Open, held at the venue of VfL Tennis 1929 Kamen e.V., concluded with the title win of local hero Rudolf Molleker.

The 21-year-old German made the last step to the final by defeating Szymon Kielan from Poland in straight sets. 

Austrian No. 8 seed David Pichler from Austria, who practices at the Tennis Centre of Günter Bresnik in the South of Vienna, edged out German No. 4 seed Jeremy Jahn in the semi-finals in two sets.

No. 2 seed Molleker earned three breaks more in the title match and outpointed his 26-year-old opponent 62-43 to seal a 6-1, 6-4 victory in 76 minutes. Following his maiden Challenger triumph at the 2018 Neckarcup in Heilbronn, the Berlin native celebrated his second career title on the Pro Circuit.

M25 Mungia ESP – Inaki Montes-de la Torre clinches maiden trophy on home soil

Teenager Inaki Montes-de la Torre was victorious at the 1° ITF CCLaukaritz, hosted by Club de Campo Laukariz. 

The 19-year-old Spaniard benefited in the semi-finals from the retirement of qualifier Svyatoslav Gulin at the score of 6-2, 2-0.

Australian No. 2 seed Akira Santillan fought past Benjamin Winter Lopez from Spain in the stage of the last four in three sets. 

Unseeded Montes-de la Torre converted five of his nine break-point chances in the championship match and dropped three service-games to claim a 6-3, 7-5 victory after one hour and 46 minutes. The Pamplona native celebrated his first singles title on the Pro Circuit.

M25 Arlon BEL – Raphael Collignon succeeds on home soil 

The Arlon Open by Inetum, held at the venue of Garisart TC, concluded with the triumph of local hero Raphael Collignon. 

The 20-year-old Belgian cruised past the tournament’s top favourite Oliver Crawford from the United States in the semi-finals in two sets. 

Last week’s Duffel champion Gauthier Onclin, seeded No. 5, stopped his unseeded countryman Simon Beaupain in the stage of the final four in straight sets.

In the all-Belgian title match, No. 6 seed Collignon capitalized on six of his 11 break-point opportunities to advance 6.4, 6-1 after 75 minutes. The US-born lifted his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his second this season.

M25 Montauban FRA – Timo Legout prevails again on clay

Timo Legout was crowned champion at the Open de Tennis de Montauban, hosted by Association Tennis Montauban.

The 20-year-old battled past his No. 4 seeded fellow French Jurgen Briand in the semi-finals in three sets.

No. 5 seed Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, who was ranked juniors World No. 4 last season, booked the spot in the all-French final with a three-set win versus Mikalai Haliak.

Unseeded Legout earned three points and one break more in the championship match to secure victory by the score of 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 in two hours and 12 minutes. Following his maiden title win on the same surface in Sibenik last season, the Nogent Sur Marne native celebrated his second singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M25 Tulsa USA – Govind Nanda dominates in Oklahoma 

Govind Nanda captured the title of the Tulsa Pro Championships, held at Philcrest Hills Tennis Club, without dropping a set the entire week.

The No. 3 seed eased past his US-American compatriot Andres Martin, who entered the tournament by a wild card, in the semi-finals in two sets.

Wild card entry Stefan Dostanic, who plays college tennis for the University of Southern California, set the all-US-American final with a straight-set victory against Japanese No. 5 seed Sho Shimabukuro.

Loma Linda-born Nanda gained two breaks and six points more in the title match to triumph 6-3, 7-5 in 89 minutes. The 21-year-old lifted his fourth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them achieved on hard court. 

M25 Klosters CH – Mattia Bellucci captures fifth title of the season

Mattia Bellucci clinched the trophy of the Swiss Tennis International Tour by Rado, hosted by Tennis Klosters, without losing a set during the tournament. 

The Italian No. 2 seed made the last step to the final by defeating Stefan Palosi from Romania, who claimed the title in Skopje last week, in straight sets. 

Austrian No. 6 seed Lukas Neumayer, who was coached this week by former Dacis Cup player Markus Hipfl, fought past Remy Bertola from Switzerland in the semi-finals in three sets.

Twenty-one-year-old Bellucci fired nine aces in the championship match and won 86 per cent of his first-service points to seal a 6-3, 6-2 win in one hour and 43 minutes. The Busta Arsizio native celebrated his sixth singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, his fifth in 2022.

M15 Raanana ISR – Ben Patael prevails on home soil

Local hero Ben Patael emerged victorious at the M15 Raanana tournament, hosted by Municipality Tennis Club.

The No. 2 seeded Israeli advanced to the final with a three-set win against Adrian Bodmer from Switzerland.

Junor entry Orel Kimhi benefited from the retirement of his top seeded compatriot Edan Leshem in the semi-finals at the score of 1-6, 7-6, 1-0.

Tel Aviv-born Patael broke his 18-year-old rival in the championship match five times and lost two service games to succeed 3-6, 6-3, 6-1 after about two hours. The 25-year-old lifted his sixth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on hard court.

M15 South Bend USA – Johannus Monday claims maiden title

Johannus Monday capped his dream week by claiming the trophy of the Notre Dame Open, held at Courtney Tennis Center in Indiana.

In the stage of the final four, the British qualifier got a walkover from Rayn Shane of the United States.

No. 5 seed Sekou Bangoura battled past his fellow US-American James Tracy in the semi-finals in three sets. 

Twenty-year-old Monday earned the only two breaks in the title match and won 76 per cent of his first-service points to secure a 6-3, 7-5 victory in 84 minutes. The college player for the University of Tennessee celebrated his first title on the Pro Circuit.

M15 Alkmaar NED – Daniel Rincon clinches maiden trophy 

Left-handed Daniel Rincon is the champion of the ITF WTT Alkmaar, hosted by the venue of TC Alkmaar. 

The 19-year-old Spaniard cruised past Swedish No. 8 seed Karl Friberg in the semi-finals in two sets. 

Italian No. 6 seed Jacopo Berrettini stopped the run of Dutch qualifier Michiel De Kroom in the stage of the last four in straight sets.

No. 7 seed Rincon converted four of his nine break-point chances in the championship match without dropping a service game to triumph 7-5, 6-1 after one hour and 41 minutes. The Madrid native, who captured the title of the US Open Junior Championships and was ranked juniors World No. 2 last season, lifted his first singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Chiang Rai THA – Bu Yunchaokete earns fifth title of the season

Bu Yunchaokete took the title of the M15 Chiang Rai tournament, held at Chiang Rai Tennis Stadium, without dropping a set the entire week.

The No. 3 seed from China received a walkover from Thai Yuttana Charoenphon in the semi-finals.

Jie Cui set the all-Chinese final with a straight-set win against No. 4 seeded Rubin Statham from New Zealand.

Twenty-year-old Yunchaokete won 81 per cent of his first-service points and gained the only three breaks in the title match to claim a 6-1, 6-4 victory in 82 minutes. The Hangzhou native celebrated his fifth singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won this season.

M15 Monastir TUN – Terence Atmane wins maiden title

Left-handed Terence Atmane clinched the trophy of the Magic Hotel Tours tournament, hosted by Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir.

The 20-year-old Frenchman knocked off the tournament’s top favourite Aziz Dougaz from Tunisia in the semi-finals in three sets.

Lucky Loser Cyril Vandermeersch booked the spot in the all-French final with a three-set win versus Chinese qualifier Xiaofei Wang.

No. 3 seeded Atmane send down nine aces in the championship match and gained one break more to advance 6-3, 7-6 after about two hours. The Boulogne-Sur-Mer native lifted his first trophy on the Pro Circuit.
