Three of the top four ATP players will compete in the Erste Bank Open in Vienna. This was announced by the organizers of the ATP 500 tournament, which will be held from October 22 to 30, 2022. World No. 1 Daniil Medvedev of Russia, second-ranked Alexander Zverev from Germany and World No. 4 Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece will be part of a stunning line-up.

“Daniil Medvedev has steadily worked his way up to the top of the world rankings. With his match record on hard courts, he is of course one of the favorites at the Erste Bank Open,” explains tournament director Herwig Straka.

Defending Erste Bank Open champion Zverev is working intensively on his comeback after suffering an ankle injury at the French Open in Paris. In his winner’s speech in 2021, he emphasized that the tournament in Vienna is very important to the German: “It was one of the best weeks of the year for me. I hope that I can often enjoy the special atmosphere at this tournament in the future,” Zverev said.

A wild card for home favourite Dominic Thiem will be reserved.
