The Central Coast Tennis Classic is pleased to announce EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants as new title sponsor for its popular USTA Women’s $60,000 Pro Circuit Tournament, which returns to the Templeton Tennis Ranch Sept. 26 through Oct. 2.
The 2022 edition of the Central Coast Tennis Classic will attract more than 70 WTA players, ranked from No. 100 to No. 300 in the world, along with their support teams and families.
“EPIC is honored to support women athletes in their quest to compete in the world’s largest tennis tournaments,” commented BobbiJo DeNofa Broad, President Orange County, Inland Empire, and Pasadena. “The Central Coast Tennis Classic is one of many USTA Pro Circuit events designed to help players with their professional tennis aspirations, and we are pleased to support both the WTA and the athletes.” Broad continued, “The sponsorship aligns with our shared values, beliefs and culture that we call EPICness, and we embrace supporting our local community as well as thinking and dreaming big.”
Past players of the event include 2018 US Open doubles champion CoCo Vandeweghe, current WTA World Tour No. 31 singles player Shelby Rogers, and former Wimbledon singles semifinalist Genie Bouchard. In the last CCTC played in 2019, Rogers posted a three-set win in the singles final over good friend Vandeweghe.
