The Ymer brothers led Sweden to a 2-1 win over Argentina in Group A’s opening tie of the Davis Cup by Rakuten Finals in Bologna on Tuesday.
119th-ranked Elias Ymer defeated Sebastian Baez 6-4, 3-6, 7-6(4) in two hours and 27 minutes, while his younger brother and World No. 98 Mikael Ymer later comfortably beat Diego Schwartzman 6-2, 6-2 in one hour and 32 minutes.

“I’m very happy because we weren’t favorites in this group with teams like Argentina, Croatia and Italy,” said Elias Ymer after the match. “This victory is worth double.”
Sweden, a team used to playing on fast courts and indoors, only lost the doubles rubber as Maximo Gonzalez and Horacio Zeballos fought past Andre Goransson and Elias Ymer 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 in one hour and 42 minutes.
