M25 Bagneres-de-Bigorre FRA – Joris de Loore dominates in the Pyrenees 

Joris de Loore is the champion of the Tournoi International de Bagneres-de-Bigorre, hosted by Tennis Club de Bagneres-de-Bigorre, without losing a set during the tournament. 

The Belgian No. 2 seed made it to the final with a straight-set win against No. 4 seeded Frenchman Antoine Hoang.

Estonian No. 5 seed Mark Lajal battled past No. 3 seeded Steven Diez from Canada in the semi-finals in two sets.

Twenty-nine-year-old de Loore gained the only five breaks in the title match and won 85 per cent of his first-service points to prevail 6-3, 6-0 in 88 minutes. The Bruges native celebrated his 11th singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Salerno ITA – Marcello Serafini captures back-to-back titles on home soil 

Following his title win in Pescara last week, Marcello Serafini emerged victorious at the Salerno Cup, held at the venue of Tennis Club La Carnale. 

In the all-Italian semifinals, the 20-year-old knocked off No. 2 seed Andrea Picchione in straight sets. 

No. 4 seed Lorenzo Bocchi rallied past seventh seed Gabriele Maria Noce in the stage of the last four in three sets. 

Rimini-born Serafini capitalized on five of his eight break-point opportunities in the championship match and dropped two service games to seal a 6-3, 6-3 victory in 81 minutes. The No. 3 seed lifted his third career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, his third this season. 

M25 Sintra POR – Sasikumar Mukund returns to winners’ circle

Sasikumar Mukund earned the trophy of the M25 Sintra 1 tournament, hosted by Beloura Tennis Academy.

The Indian No. 2 seed advanced to the final with a straight-set win versus Daniel Rodrigues from Portugal.

Portuguese No. 7 seed Duarte Vale, who played college tennis for the University of Florida, ended the run of Spanish qualifier Mario Gonzalez Fernandez in the semi-finals in three sets. 

Twenty-five-year-old Mukund withstood nine aces from his opponent in the title match and gained two breaks more to prevail 7-6, 3-6, 6-0 in two hours and 45 minutes. The Chennai native celebrated his sixth singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his first since 2017.

M25 Maribor SLO – Hernan Casanova wins back-to-back titles

Following his triumph at the same place last week, clay-court specialist Hernan Casanova captured another title at the Branik Maribor Open, held at Teniski Klub Branik Maribor. 

The 28-year-old Argentinian made it to the final with a straight-set win against Bolivian No. 5 seed Murkel Dellien.

Swiss No. 6 seed Damien Wenger rallied past Stefan Popovic from Serbia in the semi-finals in two sets. 

Top seed Casanova capitalized on six of his 10 break-point chances in the championship match and dropped two service games to seal a 6-0, 7-5 victory in 91 minutes. The Buenos Aires native lifted his 21st career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them achieved on clay.

M25 Sapporo JPN – Rio Noguchi prevails on home soil

Rio Noguchi won the title of the Uchiyama Cup Week 2, held at Sapporo Hiragishi Teikyujo, with only Japanese players in the main draw.

The tournament’s top favourite made the last step to the final by defeating left-handed Keisuke Saitoh in three sets. 

No. 6 seed Tatsuma Ito battled past No. 6 seeded Shintaro Imai in the semi-finals in three sets.

Twenty-three-year-old Noguchi benefited in the title match from the retirement of his 34-year-old rival at the score of 6-1, 4-0. The Fukuoka native celebrated his seventh singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, his fourth this season.

M25 Cairo EGY – Leonardo Aboian captures back-to-back titles 

Following his championship at the same place last week, left-handed Leonardo Aboian earned another trophy of the Egypt Men’s Future, hosted by Al-Solaimaneyah Tennis Club. 

The 24-year-old Argentinian eased past Amr Elsayed from Egypt in the semi-finals in straight sets. 

Swedish No. 5 seed Leo Borg, the son of tennis legend Bjorn Borg, reached his first final on the Pro Circuit with a three-set win against Luciano Emanuel Ambrogi from Argentina.

Buenos Aires-born Aboian outpointed his 19-year-old rival in the championship match  61-43 to prevail 6-3, 6-4 in 80 minutes. The No. 3 seed lifted his third career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on clay in Cairo.

M15 Budapest HUN – Michael Vrbensky clinches fourth trophy of the season

The T-Systems Cup, hosted by GS Tenisz Club in Budapest, concluded with the title win of Michael Vrbensky.

The 22-year-old Czech booked the spot in the final with a straight-set win versus Hungarian No. 3 seed Peter Fajta. 

No. 6 seed Matyas Fuele from Hungary edged out Slovakian No. 7 seed Lukas Pokorny in the semi-finals in two sets.

Nymburk-born Vrbensky sent down seven aces and earned the only four breaks in the championship match to triumph 6-1, 6-3 in 71 minutes. The No. 2 seed lifted his eighth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his fourth in 2022.

M15 Madrid ESP – Ryan Nijboer claims maiden title 

Ryan Nijboer clinched the trophy of the LVII Copa Alamenda XXX ITF Villa de Madrid, held at Club de Tenis Alameda.

The 23-year-old Dutchman advanced to the final with a straight-set win against Spanish No. 3 seed Alvaro Lopez San Martin.

Sergi Perez Contri from Spain cruised past French No. 5 seed Maxime Chazal in the semi-finals in two sets.

Unseeded Nijboer scored two points less in the title match but secured a 6-4, 2-6, 6-3 win after about two and a half hours. The Lelystad native celebrated his first singles title on the Pro Circuit.

M15 Cancun MEX – Bernard Tomic returns to winners’ circle 

Former World No. 17 Bernard Tomic was crowned champion at the World Tennis Tour Cancun 2022 hosted by Cancun Tennis Complex.

The 29-year-old Australian battled through the top half of the draw, beating Venezuelan No. 3 seed Ricardo Rodriguez in the semi-finals in straight sets. 

US-American No. 3 seed Tristan McCormick, who played college tennis for the University of Georgia, defeated No. 6 seeded Colombian Nicolas Buitrago in the semis in two sets.

German-born Tomic converted all of his three break-point chances in the championship match and won 79 per cent of his first-service points to succeed 7-6, 6-3 after two hours and 45 minutes. The No. 5 seed lifted his eighth career trophy on the Pro Circuit and his first since 2018.

M15 Constanta ROU – Ilya Snitari earns maiden trophy

Ilya Snitari took the title of the Bright Trophy, held at the venue of Tenis Club Bright in Constanta.

The No. 5 seed from Moldova fought past No. 6 seeded Romanian Sebastian Gima in the stage of the last four in three sets. 

Oleksandr Bielinskyi from the Ukraine finished the run of Romanian qualifier Vasile Antonescu in the semi-finals in straight sets. 

Twenty-year-old Snitari broke his unseeded rival in the title match for six times and lost two service-games to seal a 6-1, 6-3 victory in 80 minutes. The Chisinau native celebrated his first singles title on the Pro Circuit.

M15 Casablanca MAR – Max Houkes captures third consecutive title

Following two championships on home soil in the last two weeks, Max Houkes was victorious at the Morocco Tennis Tour, hosted by Club Ruc Tennis.

The tournament’s top favourite from the Netherlands took the last step to the final by defeating No. 5 seed Savriyan Danilov in two sets.

Austrian No. 3 seed David Pichler knocked out No. 2 seeded Frenchman Corentin Denolly in the semi-finals in straight sets.

Emmen-born Houkes won 83 per cent of his first-service points in the championship match and gained four breaks more to prevail 6-4, 6-1 in 91 minutes. The 22-year-old lifted his third career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Monastir TUN – Aziz Dougaz dominates on home soil 

Left-handed Aziz Dougaz clinched another trophy of the Magic Hotel Tours tournament, held at Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir, without losing a set the entire week. 

The 25-year-old Tunisian beat No. 4 seed Kiranpal Pannu from New Zealand in the stage of the final four.

US-American No. 3 seed Colin Markes, who played college Tennis for the University of Texas at Austin, stopped the run of Australian qualifier Matthew Dellavedova in the semi-finals in straight sets. 

Top seed Dougaz converted three of his four break-point opportunities in the title match by dropping one service-game to claim a 7-5, 6-3 win after 96 minutes. The La Marsa native celebrated his 10th singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, his ninth on home soil.
