M25 Madrid ESP – Lukas Neumayer dominates in Spain 

Lukas Neumayer won the title of the XIII ITF Masculino Villa de Madrid Trofeo Volvo, hosted by Ciudad de la Raqueta, without dropping a set the entire week. 

The 20-year-old Austrian rallied down Spanish No. 3 seed Alberto Barroso Campos in the semi-finals.

Top seeded US-American Nicolas Moreno de Alboran reached the final with a straight-set win versus David Jorda Sanchis from Spain. 

In the title match between the top two favourites, second-seeded Neumayer converted four of his six break-point chances and lost only one service game to secure a 6-4, 6-1 victory in 67 minutes. The Salzburg native, who is coached by Günter Bresnik, celebrated his third career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, his third of the season.

M25 Santa Margherita di Pula ITA – Jelle Sels prevails in Sardinia 

Jelle Sels emerged victorious at the Fortevillage ITF Trophy, held at the venue of ASD Fortevillage. 

The top seeded Dutchman made the last step to the final by defeating Federico Arnaboldi from Italy in three sets.

Italian No. 6 seed Edoardo Lavagno fought past No. 2 seed Lucas Gerch of Germany, who played college tennis for the Oklahoma State University, in the semi-finals in straight sets.

Woerden-born Sels didn’t loose his serve and capitalized on four of his own 14 break-point opportunities in the championship match to prevail 6-4, 6-1 in one hour and 47 minutes. The 27-year-old lifted his fifth singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M25 Plaisir FRA – Antoine Hoang triumphs on home soil 

Antoine Hoang claimed the trophy of the Future de la Ville de Plaisir, hosted by Tennis Club Plaisir.

The No. 3 seed emerged victorious from the all-French semifinal-clash against Jules Marie in three sets. 

Swiss No. 6 seed Jerome Kym booked the spot in the final with a straight-set win against No. 5 seeded Frenchman Sascha Gueymard Wayenburg. 

Twenty-six-year-old Hoang withstood the seven aces of his 19-year-old rival in the title match and earned one break more to seal a 7-6, 6-3 victory in about two hours. The Hyeres native celebrated his seventh career title on the Pro Circuit including his triumph at the 2018 Challenger Eckental. 

M25 Darwin AUS – Dane Sweeny remains solid in Australia 

Dane Sweeny is the champion of the Darwin International, held at Darwin International Tennis Centre.

In the semi-finals with the top four seeds, the 21-year-old rallied past his No. 4 seeded fellow Australian James McCabe in three sets. 

US-American No. 3 seed Kyle Seelig eased past second-seeded Australian Tristan Schoolkate in the semis in straight sets. 

Top seed Sweeny broke his 25-year-old opponent in the championship match four times by dropping one service game to succeed 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 after two hours and 30 minutes. The Penrith native lifted his fourth singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on home soil this season.

M25 Sintra POR – Elliot Benchetrit returns to winners’ circle

The M25 Sintra II tournament, hosted by Beloura Tennis Academy, concluded with the title win of Elliot Benchetrit.

The 23-year-old Moroccan advanced to the final with a three-set win against Italian No. 5 seed Luca Potenza. 

Top seed Jesper de Jong from the Netherlands cruised past US-American No. 3 seed Christian Langmo in the semi-finals in straight sets.

Nice-born Benchetrit fired nine aces in the title match and gained four breaks more to claim a 6-4, 6-1 victory in 82 minutes. The No. 4 seed celebrated his fourth career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his first since 2018.

M15 Champaign USA – Justin Boulais wins maiden trophy 

Qualifier Justin Boulais captured the title of the Fighting Illini Open, held at Atkins Tennis Center in Illinois.

The 20-year-old US-born, who represents Canada, edged out Yuta Kikuchi from Japan in the semi-finals in straight sets.

The tournament’s top seed Sekou Bangoura from the United States stopped Japanese junior entry Rei Sakomoto in the stage of the final four in two sets.

In a one-sided championship match, left-handed Boulais outpointed his 30-year-old rival 57-30 to triumph 6-1, 6-1 in exactly one hour. The Hilton Head Island native lifted his first singles trophy on the Pro Circuit.

M15 Casablanca MAR – Max Houkes takes fourth consecutive title 

Left-handed Max Houkes is still the man to beat on the ITF World Tennis Tour. The Dutchman earned another trophy at the Morocco Tennis Tour, hosted by Club Ruc Tennis. 

The 22-year-old ended the run of French qualifier Arthur Weber in the stage of the last four in three sets.

French top seed Titouan Drouget made it to the final with a three-set win versus No. 4 seeded Austrian David Pichler.

No. 2 seed Houkes gained two breaks and 11 points more in the title match to secure a 6-2, 7-6 victory in about two hours. The Emmen native celebrated his fourth career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them achieved on clay this season.

M15 Cancun MEX – Tristan McCormick clinches maiden trophy 

Tristan McCormick from the United States was victorious at the World Tennis Tour Cancun 2022 hosted by Cancun Tennis Complex. 

The former college player for the University of Georgia knocked off the tournament’s top favourite Liam Draxl from Canada in the semi-finals in two sets.

Kareem al Allaf from Syria battled through the bottom half of the draw, beating Japanese Kosuke Ogura in the semis in straight sets. 

Twenty-three-year-old McCormick struck 10 aces in the championship match and won 81 per cent of his first-service points to succeed 6-3, 6-3 after about two hours. The Philadelphia native lifted his first singles trophy on the Pro Circuit. 

M15 Zlatibor SRB – Gauthier Onclin captures fourth title of the season

Gauthier Onclin was crowned champion at the M15 Zlatibor tournament, held at Tennis Club Zlatibor Springs.

The 21-year-old Belgian eased past Serbian No. 5 seed Stefan Popovic in the semi-finals in two sets. 

No. 2 seeded Romanian Ilya Snitari took the last step to the final by defeating No. 5 seed Kirill Kivattsev in straight sets. 

Liege-born Onclin broke his 20-year-old rival in the title match seven times to seal a 6-1, 6-4 victory in 86 minutes. The top seed, who was ranked World No. 8 as a junior, celebrated his seventh career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, his fourth in 2022.

M15 Sharm el Sheikh EGY – Alec Beckley wins debut title

Alec Beckley took the title of the Egypt Men’s Future, hosted by the venue of Soho Square in Sharm El Sheikh.

The 21-year-old from South Africa battled past Italian Filippo Speziali in the stage of the final four in three sets.

Italian top favourite Simone Roncalli booked the spot in the final with a straight-set win versus Kris van Wyk from South Africa.

Unseeded Beckley capitalized on three of his seven break-point opportunities in the championship match and dropped one service game to prevail 6-4, 6-4 after one hour and 41 minutes. He lifted his first singles trophy on the Pro Circuit. 

M15 Monastir TUN – Robin Bertrand remains solid in North Africa 

Robin Bertrand clinched the trophy of the Magic Hotel Tours tournament, held at Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir.

The French No. 2 seed stopped the run of German qualifier Facundo Yunis in the semi-finals in two sets.

No. 5 seed Bekhan Atlangeriev advanced to the final with a three-set win against No. 6 seeded Frenchman Cyril Vandermeersch.

Lasting almost three hours, Nimes-born Bertrand sent down eight aces and gained four in the title match to claim a 6-7, 6-4, 6-0 victory. Following his maiden championship in Algeria earlier in the season, the 19-year-old celebrated his second career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
