Top-seed Rogerio Dutra Silva fell in the quarterfinals of the €42,500 Open Citta’ Della Disfida on Friday against Jurgen Zopp 6-7, 4-6. The 28-year-old Estonian won 73% of his first service points and converted three of his eight break points to advance after one hour and 54 minutes.

Zopp will take on eighth favourite Elias Ymer next. The 20-year-old from Sweden rallied back against Gastao Elias 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in two hours and 13 minutes.

Third seed Adam Pavlased cruised past Lorenzo Sonego, winning 6-2, 6-0. The world number 120 from the Czech Republic saved all three break points he faced, converting five of his own to seal victory in only 58 minutes.

Pavlasek will play Enrique Lopez Pérez in the semis. The Spanish qualifier beat Alessandro Giannessi 6-3, 6-3 in one hour and 37 minutes.
