VIENNA, October 1, 2022

Five Top 10 players headline the entry list of the Erste Bank Open 500. The ATP 500 hard-court event will be held from October 22 to 30 at the Stadthalle in Vienna, Austria.

World No. 4 Daniil Medvedev of Russia leads the line-up and will be joined by World No. 6 Stefanos Tsitsipas from Greece, World No. 8 Cameron Norrie of Great Britain, World No. 9 Andrey Rublev of Russia as well as World No. 10 Jannik Sinner from Italy.

Local hero and 2019 champion Dominic Thiem will also compete in front of his home crowd. “It’s an incredibly strong field, every opponent is a great challenge,” Thiem said during a press conference on Friday.

“But I’m really looking forward to being there again this year. The fantastic audience inside the Wiener Stadthalle has already carried me to a few victories.”

Germany’s Alexander Zverev will not have the chance to defend his title, missing the tournament due to a right ankle injury.
