The 32-year-old Rosario native, who is bidding for his third Challenger crown of the season following his triumphs in Pereira, Colombia and Ambato, Ecuador, will next take on No. 4 seed Felipe Meligeni Alves. The Brazilian edged out Argentine Roman Andres Burruchaga 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 in one hour and 59 minutes.

“I’m very happy to reach the first semi-final of the year,” said Seyboth Wild. “I’ve been working hard to feel good on the court, be happy on court again. I think I’m doing a good job. I started the tournament not so well, but I managed to turn a very important match around and mentally this is very good for me, it’s something I couldn’t do for a long time. I didn’t have that mental strength. I’m very happy with the level of my tennis I’ve been playing in the last few days and I will keep working to keep improving.”
