M25 Lajeado BRA – Eduardo Ribeiro remains successful on home soil 

The Lajeado Open de Tenis 2022, hosted by Clube Tiro e caca de Lajeado, concluded with the title win of Eduardo Ribeiro.

In the all-Brazilian semi-finals, the 24-year-old booked the spot in the final with a three-set win against No. 4 seed Gustavo Heide.

Marcello Zormann fought past his countryman Nicolas Zanellato in the stage of the final four in three sets. 

No. 5 seeded Ribeiro won 77 per cent of his first-service points in the title match and earned the only four breaks to triumph 6-2, 6-2 in 80 minutes. The Santa Cruz do Sul native celebrated his third career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them achieved on home soil this season.

M25 Traralgon AUS – Omar Jasika prevails in Australian affair

Top seeded Omar Jasika was crowned champion at the Latrobe City Traralgon International #2, held at the venue of the Traralgon Tennis Association. 

In the all-Australian semi-finals, the 25-year-old knocked off No. 7 seeded Ajeet Rai in three sets.

No. 5 seed Dayne Kelly battled through the bottom half of the draw, beating Alex Bolt in the semis in straight sets.

Melbourne-born Jasika, who was banned from professional tennis for two years from March 2018 after testing positive for cocaine, gained the only five breaks in the title match without facing a break-point, to claim victory with 6-0, 6-2 in about one hour. The former junior’s World No. 6, who clinched the singles and doubles title at the US Open Junior Championships 2014, lifted his eighth singles trophy on the Pro Circuit including his ATP Challenger title in Burnie 2017. The lefty won all his trophies on hard court.

M25 Monastir TUN – Skander Mansouri remains solid on home soil

Local hero Skander Mansouri clinched another trophy of the Magic Hotel Tours tournament, hosted by Hotel Skanes Family.

The 27-year-old Tunisian reached the final with a straight-set win against Chinese No. 4 seed Bu Yunchaokete. 

US-American No. 7 seed Omni Kumar prevented the all-Tunisian final by beating No. 3 seeded Aziz Dougaz in the semis in three sets.

Top seed Mansouri broke his 21-year-old rival in the championship match for three times by dropping one service-game to advance 6-3, 6-4 after two hours and 21 minutes. The Tunis native, who played college tennis for the Wake Forest University, celebrated his 15th singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his fifth this season in Monastir.

M25 Heraklion GRE – Terence Atmane clinches fourth trophy of the season

Top seed Terence Atmane captured the title of the M25 Heraklion tournament, hosted by Nama Golden Beach Hotel in Crete.

In the semi-finals with the top four favourites in action, the French lefty made the last step to the final by beating Ukrainian No. 4 seed Oleksandr Ovcharenko.

No. 3 seeded Daniel Cukierman from Israel knocked out Polish No. 2 seed Filip Peliwo in the stage of the final four in two clear sets. 

In the title match with both players gaining three breaks, Boulogne-Sur-Mer-born Atmane scored two points less but secured a 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 win after about two hours. The 20-year-old lifted his fourth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on hard court this season.

M15 Madrid ESP – David Jorda Sanchis wins debut title 

The Open Internacional Ciudad de Alcala de Henares, held at Club Escuela Tenis Alcala, ended with the title win of David Jorda Sanchis. 

The 28-year-old Spaniard battled through the bottom half of the draw, beating German No. 3 seed Tim Handel in the semi-finals in straight sets. 

Daniel Vallejo from Paraguay, current junior’s World No. 1, battled past Spanish No. 5 seed Benjamin Winter Lopez in the stage of the last four in three sets.

No. 6 seeded Jorda Sanchis converted five of his eight break-point chances in the championship match by dropping one service-game to succeed 6-3, 6-1 after one hour and eight minutes. The Barcelona native celebrated his first singles title on the Pro Circuit.

M15 Bhilai IND – Vladyslav Orlov takes fourth title of the season 

Vladyslav Orlov is the champion of the Chhatisgarh ITF WTT Men’s $15,000 Bhilai, hosted by BSP Tennis Complex.

The Ukrainian top favourite edged out Ryotaro Matsumura from Japan in the semi-finals in straight sets. 

No. 6 seed Niki Kaliyanda Poonacha emerged victorious from the all-Indian semifinal-clash against teenager Karan Singh in two sets.

Twenty-seven-year-old Orlov outpointed his opponent of the same age in the title match by the score of 60-41 to claim a 6-1, 6-4 win after 72 minutes. The Kharkiv native lifted his eighth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his fourth in 2022.

M15 Santo Domingo DOM – Bernard Tomic wins another title on hard court

Bernard Tomic emerged victorious at the M25 Santo Domingo tournament, which was held at Centro Nacional de Tenis Parque del Este.

The 30-year-old Australian booked the spot in the final with a straight-set win against No. 4 seed Peter Bertran from the Dominican Republic.

Darian King from Barbados benefited in the semi-finals from the retirement of Canadian No. 3 seed Liam Draxl at the score of 4-6, 4-1.

German-born Tomic earned two breaks and six points more in the championship match to triumph 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 lasting two hours and 44 minutes. The No. 2 seed celebrated his 10th career trophy on the Pro Circuit including four ATP-250 titles and three titles on the ATP Challenger Tour. The former World No. 17 achieved all his titles on hard court. 

M15 Sharm El Sheikh EGY – Jakub Mensik clinches back-to-back titles 

Teenager Jakub Mensik took the title of the Egypt Men’s Future, hosted by Soho Square in Sharm El Sheikh.

The Czech No. 3 seed advanced to the final with a straight-set win versus Jacopo Berrettini from Italy.

No. 5 seed Saba Purtseladze from Georgia cruised past Austrian No. 7 seed Lukas Krainer in the semi-finals in two sets. 

Seventeen-year-old withstood the 10 aces of his rival in the title match and gained three breaks more to secure a 6-4, 6-2 victory in 73 minutes. The Prostejov native, who was ranked junior’s World No. 2 earlier in the season, lifted his third singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Antalya TUR – Alexander Weis remains solid in Belek 

Alexander Weis took his third consecutive title at the Antalya Series, held at Megasaray Tennis Academy in Antalya. 

The 25-year-old Italian took the last step to the final by defeating Jorge Martinez Martinez from Spain in two sets. 

No. 5 seeded Spaniard Alex Marti Pujolras eased past No. 7 seed Bogdan Bobrov in the semi-finals in straight sets. 

No. 4 seeded Weis broke his 23-year-old rival in the championship match for five times and lost two service-games to prevail 6-4, 6-0 after one hour and 23 minutes. The Bolzano native celebrated his fourth career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Monastir TUN – Constantin Bittoun Kouzmine captures maiden title

Left-handed Constantin Bittoun Kouzmine clinched the trophy of the Magic Hotel Tours tournament, hosted by Hotel Skanes Family.

The French No. 3 seed stopped the run of Swiss qualifier Gabriele Moghini in the semi-finals in straight sets.

Jarno Jans from the Netherlands rallied down Italian No. 4 seed Luca Tomasetto in the stage of the final four in two sets.

Paris-born Bittoun Kouzmine capitalized on five of his eight break-point opportunities and dropped two service-games in the title match to seal a 6-1, 6-4 victory in 77 minutes. The 23-year-old lifted his first singles trophy on the Pro Circuit.
