Emma Navarro joined Patrick Kypson in earning wild cards into the French Open via the USTA’s Roland Garros Wild Card Challenge.
The 21-year-old from Charleston won the 2021 NCAA singles title as a freshman at the University of Virginia and turned pro in June 2022, after her sophomore season. Since then, Navarro has risen from outside the Top 250 to a career-high No. 83. She went 14-3 in singles matches during the five-week Challenge window and won consecutive USTA Pro Circuit titles, in Charleston and Charlottesville, Va.
