James Duckworth of Australia is the champion of the 2023 Shenzhen Luohu Challenger. The top seed of the $80,000 hard-court tournament held at the Luohu Tennis Center in Shenzhen, China defeated 19-year-lold Chak Lam Coleman Wong from Hong Kong 6-0, 6-1 in Sunday’s singles final.
Duckworth advanced to his 23rd title match on the Challenger Circuit with wins in the top half of the draw over Yusuke Takahashi of Japan, Chinese qualifier Zhe Li, No. 5 seed Li Tu from Australia and fourth-seeded home favourite Yunchaokete Bu.
The World No. 144 was in total control of the final. Duckworth didn’t face a break point and converted five of his own 11 break-point chances to prevail after only 52 minutes.

The 31-year-old Duckworth lifted his 13th ATP Challenger career trophy, his first since Istanbul in May 2021. He earned $10,840 in prize money as well as 75 ATP Ranking points.
