Later in the afternoon, Nagal beat Italian lucky loser Stefano Travaglia 6-1, 6-4. The 26-year-old from Jhajjar won 78 per cent of his first-service points and capitalized on three of his six break-point chances to prevail after one hour and 13 minutes.
Moutet is seeking his seventh ATP Challenger career crown, his first of the season. Nagal could lift his fifth Challenger career trophy, his third of 2023 and second in Finland following his triumph on clay in Tampere in July. The pair’s head-to-head record is tied at 1-1.
