The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has announced the draws for the 2024 Davis Cup World Group I and World Group II ties.
The draws, which took place at the ITF offices this morning, will see 48 nations competing in 24 home-and-away ties, to be played in cities around the world on either 13-14 or 14-15 September 2024. The choice of dates is determined by the home nation.
The 2024 Davis Cup Finals Group Stage will also be held on 10-15 September, meaning 64 nations will be in Davis Cup action during the week commencing 9 September. The date for the Finals Group Stage draw will be announced in due course.
Winning nations from World Group I ties will advance to the 2025 Davis Cup Qualifiers – giving those teams a chance to compete for a place at the 2025 Davis Cup Finals. Losing nations from World Group I ties and winning nations from World Group II ties will compete in the 2025 World Group I Play-offs; losing nations from World Group II ties will compete in the 2025 World Group II Play-offs alongside the best-performing teams at the 2024 regional Group III events.

** = Pakistan, Latvia, Mexico and New Zealand are all ranked 45= in the latest Davis Cup Nations Rankings. Lots were drawn to determine their seeding order.
*** = The World Group II Play-off tie between Iran and Estonia will take place on 15-16 March in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The winning nation will play away to Uzbekistan in World Group II. The losing nation will compete in a regional Group III event later this year.
