Faria has clinched his fourth title in a row following his triumphs in Vila Real de Santo António, Faro, and Quinta do Lago, making the World No. 347 the first Portuguese to lift four ITF Pro Circuit trophies in as many weeks.
“I’m still a bit speechless because everything is happening very quickly,” Faria said with a smile.
“He is a player with many weapons and very impulsive, so at any moment he can start putting the pieces together and become very dangerous. I had a certain advantage for having won two weeks ago, and I showed from the beginning that I can be the better player. I quickly converted my break point chances and was always very focused. It was a pity he couldn’t finish the final.”
