SZEKESFERVAR/STARNBERG, March 18, 2024
Chun-hsin Tseng is the champion of the Kiskut Open held at the Kiskut Teniszklub in Szekesfehervar, a historic city located in central Hungary. With a rich cultural heritage and a storied past, Szekesfehervar holds a special place in the country’s history and identity.
The city’s roots can be traced back over a thousand years, making it one of the oldest cities in Hungary. It served as a significant royal residence during the Middle Ages and was the coronation site of Hungarian kings for centuries. This historical significance is reflected in its nickname, “City of Kings.”
Tseng benefited in Sunday’s singles final from the retirement of Titouan Droguet. The 22-year-old from Chinese Taipei was leading 4-1 in the opening set when the Frenchman was forced to stop playing due to a shoulder injury.
