“I’m so happy with my performance today,” said Hurkacz. “I’m proud that I found my serve and that definitely helped me a lot. Pedro is such a great competitor, an amazing battle last night. I needed to play really great tennis to compete with him and fortunately I did it.”
By lifting his eighth ATP Tour career trophy, World No. 10 Hurkacz collected € 88,125 in prize money as well as 250 ATP Ranking points.
“Obviously it is something special to play in a final,” said Hurkacz. “There was such a great crowd, a great atmosphere and I just really appreciate all the support. It’s an amazing tournament and it was so fun to be here for a week.”
Estoril to return in 2025?
The ATP 250 Tour event was hosted by the Clube de Tenis du Estoril. Estoril, situated in the Municipality of Cascais, is a charming coastal town located on the Portuguese Riviera, just a short distance from Lisbon. Known for its beautiful beaches, rich history, and vibrant cultural scene, Estoril has become a popular destination for tourists seeking both relaxation and exploration.
One of the main attractions in Estoril is its stunning coastline, characterized by golden sandy beaches and clear blue waters. Praia do Tamariz is one of the most iconic beaches, offering a picturesque setting with its colorful beach umbrellas and views of the Atlantic Ocean. Visitors can enjoy sunbathing, swimming, and various water sports activities along the coast.
As a result of multiple ATP Tour calendar changes, the Millennium Open, which does not hold an ATP membership but has operated under an ATP licence since 2015, has not been considered for the 2025 season but is still looking for a slot.
